Default Decided on The 9mm M&P, who's had problems?

I dont think i will be disuaded on purchasing this gun, but would like to hear about any issues folks are having with theirs, if any. Thanks for your time.

No problems with my 9mm so far. I'm about 4,500 rounds in now and I probably have less than 10 cleanings on it running FrogLube. For the most part, I have a stock M&P9 Pro Series, except for the addition of an Apex RAM to help with feeling the trigger come out to reset. I've messed around with different sights, put a stippled backstrap on it, and recently threw grip tape on it, but none of those things have a positive or negative impact on reliability.

I've been abusing my gun with lack of cleaning and lubrication waiting for a stoppage just so I can see at what point things start to head south, but I haven't found it yet. I might just cave in and give it a whopping 5 minute cleaning after typing all this up and feeling slightly guilty.

Busted out yesterday morning took it to Gun Smith added Apex Duty Kit with RAM, TruGlo TFO sites, added custom stippled and will be placed in this DeSantis Tuck-This II IWB Holster.. Oh yeah also ordered a Storm Lake 9mm ISONITE QPQ barrel..
I highly recommend a Apex Duty kit with RAM the trigger is so freaking sweet now, and the reset you can hear and feel.

What sights do you guys recommend for the FS MP.45. Unfortunately, my front sight got debri in it and I tried cleaning it in every possible way with no luck what so ever. I searched and a few brands came up, Trijicon, AmeriGlo, Truglo, novaks. All of them seemed to be priced around the same besides the trijicon which were $140 the set. Why though?

I also saw on here people were painting there front sights using a tooth pick method, but what paint is it? Thanks in advance.

I used dayglo orange finger nail polish. Worked great, until i put a hi-viz fiber optic front sight.

I have Trijicon on my full size .45 - but I use Meprolight on a USPc... honestly, I wish I had gone Mepro on the M&P...

Trijicon looks nicer (cleaner) and Mepro a little more raw... but for function, I like Mepro - the dots are bigger and just easier to acquire sight picture quickly.

If you choose Trijicon, consider the HD version (I may give those a shot at some point)... the contrast in color and size look like it would work well.

For the price and function, Meprolight is a good choice.

Put mine in jail Sunday. This is my first handgun in years (sold my Sig when I realized I couldn't shoot for crap).

Hoping this one (+some classes) will work better for me.....*crosses fingers*

Here is my S&W M&P 15 Sport

I picked this puppy up last month. I only have 50 rounds through it so far. I bought 3 extra magazines and have currently 400 rounds waiting for the next range trip.

Hi,
I've got an M&P 9 question. I have an M&P 9 that I like to use for competition (USPSA and IDPA). Is it possible to buy the 5" barrel and slide and put it on my regular full size frame?
