Default Cool looking LMG style uppers. $555

I was thinking about buying the A3. Now they're gone.

There's still 2 A2's. If anyone wants them.

If these are the old Hesse ones, saw one at a gunshow many years ago and the handguards were totally out of spec ~ very warped. I'd wait and leap on a good price on a real deal Diemaco upper...

I didn't know Hesse made them before..
I'll wait for a colt/diemaco, I was close to buying the blackthorne.

I did buy a sopmod style stock from them.
It's pretty sturdy, the retracting button gets stuck; I think I can adjust the spring to fix that. Not bad for $60. I'm happy with it.

Got this upper for a pistol build, the take down holes needed a tiny bit of work for the pins to pass through. A small ding or grind was at the edge of a rail.. Looks to be mostly finish wear, not bad for $60, I like it, very clean design.

I don't plan on buying any other parts from them but I'm happy with my purchases.

Of course I'm sure you have pics of one you have personlly seen correct?

I have a Armilite & a Stag & ordered the blackthorn 1 month ago with a 2 month wait, it 30 days or so when it ships & I get it I will give 1st hand experence on the quailty or lack of, not one liners like the rest of you "EXPERTS"
full kit was $399
if it's junk I'l only out $419 with shipping, big deal

Yes, I have seen their stuff up close. Junk. It was junk back when it called HESSE and it's still junk. You think they're that cheap because they're good quality? So riddle me this, do YOU know enough to know the difference between a good quality upper and a poor quality one? How will you compare it to your 3rd tier Armalite and Stag upper? 50 rounds at a bench on a square range isn't a good test of "quality".

And apparently, for some, that's all that matters!

Everyone take a chill pill.

Arfcom? That was low .

My personal motto is that if something costs money, its probably because its worth it. If the upper was worth more, they would sell it for more. This is especially true with guns. Ive owned M1S, Stag, RRA, LMT, CMMG, and handled Noveske, Larue, and FN. You know what? The quality is directly relevant to the price.

If you want a cheap upper to go bang, go for it. Expect a few problems, but it will shoot. Im not going to talk anyone out of buying gun stuff.

What 12voltguy isn't understanding is that I'm not a brand "loyalist" like the guys on ARF. I like LaRue products because they are high quality, not because of Mark LaRue who is a bit of a d*ck. I only buy CERTAIN ARMS products, I don't buy Colt Optics, etc., etc...I don't buy it for the brand, I buy it because that PARTICULAR product is good. I won't buy RRA uppers but I'll love the LPK's they put out...actually, it's really simple...it's about getting your money's worth and getting quality.

Quote:
There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person's lawful prey.

It is unwise to pay too much, but it is also unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the thing you bought is incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.

The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot... It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder it is well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better."

attributed to John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

I bought a used Blackthorne A2 upper and it needed some dremel work on the rear curve just to seat properly. I wasn't afraid to do a little work and it now fits perfectly and shoots very well.

If you're not the DIY type and want something that is guaranteed to fit (who wouldn't?) and is quality, you may wish to shop elsewhere.
