Default Lakewood Calif UTAH CCW by MATT P March

OK Folks,
The class will be held (assuming enough people get those deposits in) at;

Lakewood Masonic Lodge
5918 Parkcrest
Long Beach, CA 90808

Nearest cross-street is Woodruff and Carson

After looking up the street address, it is indeed in Long Beach. Sorry for any confusion. It is called the Lakewood lodge. Lakewood is across the street. Oops.

Those who have paid the deposit.
1. Gino Class room provider
2. B. Blancett paypal
3. N. Khattar credit card
4. M.C.D.H.
5. C. Argueta
6. S.A paid deposit credit card
7. Carl paid paypal
8. Sarcoblaster paid credit card in Full
9. udannlin will pay in full with check at class.
10.longbeach will pay in full at class.

Gino has made available to me a class location for a Lakewood Class in March. We can do the 21st. 9am would be the start date.
A paid deposit to the class gets you in on the Group Buy I am doing on lights right now.
You will appreciate the affordability I am offering on the lights once you have the class from me. I make it quite plain why everyone interested in self defense should carry one.

Heres my usual spiel on the class:

1. Complete application, Fingerprint card, envelope for your completed application, and CD ROM disc filled with FREE targets, practice routines, information on many subjects that apply to self defense, interactive videos of firearms that you control the action and the viewable image for the super low price of $60.00 Lecture only.
2. Fingerprints and passport photo. An extra photo will be included FREEE if you want one for the FREE Florida application I can give you. This for an extra $40.00 in addition to the $60.00 for the lecture.

If you have read any of the responses from others who have attended, many of them will tell you that they learned way more things then they thought they would. Additionally, I bring to my lecture my sincere excitement, and love of all things firearms. I don’t just go through the material to get through it. I appreciate your time and money, and do all I can to demonstrate that appreciation through the quality of my class. In this economy, you HAVE to take excellent care of ANYONE who will spend money with you. I will take excellent care of you.

I wouldn’t ask for your business, if I didn’t think I offered the very best in value and class. I know I offer those things, so why should I be shy about asking you to attend one of my classes.

This is an exceptional permit to obtain for many reasons.

1. The cheapest I know of at $65.00 paid to Uath.
2. Good for 5 years.
3. Renew for only $10.00.
4. Any lawfully owned weapon is good to go, no weapon list needs be submitted to Utah.
5. As many know, good in Nevada.
6. Credit card like permit with your picture on it.
7. Utah is a shall issue State, you dont need good cause.
8. You will know Utah has received your application when they cash your check/run your credit card. Expect a 60 day turnaround from that point. Do not call unless its been 60 days from when they cashed the check.

It is 4 hour Lecture only. I do not require shooting as this is not a requirement of Utah.

I will GIVE you the complete Florida CCW packet. Sorry, I cant print you for it, it must be done by LE Agency per Florida.
Cost for the Flroida is $117.00, good for 7 years.
A Non-Resident Utah will not be good for Florida. They only recognize Resident CCWs. So, if you want to carry in Florida, you must get the Florida Non-Resident CCW. Florida gives you like 2 additional that Utah does not, and Vice Versa.
Or, proof of your Calif CCW, or Utah Hard Copy would suffice.
The Only things I can help you with Florida is, 1. print you off an additional Passport pic. 2. Oh, And I give you the Florida entire application.
Just read your materials given you for how to finish the Florida application.

Additional Florida Info.
Note 1: With the Utah CCW, you get Minnesota, Nevada and Washington, which you don't get with the Florida CCW. Also, with the Utah permit, note that the following states only accept it if you are a Utah resident: Colorado, Florida, Michigan and New Hampshire. With the Florida CCW, you get to carry in West Virginia which doesn't accept the Utah CCW. If you have the Utah permit and not a resident of Utah, you'll need the Florida permit to carry in Florida. Please note that this information can change at any time and the permit holder or applicant should check the appropriate state's carry laws. Disclaimer: All of these rules can change at anytime and you need to check with the respective states before you carry in those state.

Additionally, only prints that are Inked by a Law Enforcement Agency will be accepted for Florida only.

QUESTION 2. There are a number of states that issue concealed carry licenses but do not have a reciprocity agreement with Florida. Why?
The State of Florida will honor the concealed weapon/firearm permits issued by another state PROVIDED THAT the other state will agree to honor the licenses issued by Florida. The states listed above are the only ones that have agreed to honor Florida permits.

I give you a CD ROM disc loaded with info about Utah and its laws, and additional info on who to contact if you move and such. There is also other info along with printable free targets on the disc.
I have already printed off your application, we will fill it out at the class.
I also give you a envelope to put your application in.

$100 if you want one stop shopping.. I will print you, and shoot your passport image and print it off for you.

Please understand that 4 hours MUST be spent ONLY on the lecture. Any other things done with the application, must be done after at least 4 hours of lecture have occurred.

I would need 10 only as long as they all want mostly one stop shopping.

Oh, and the guy who provides the location will get an additional 50% off.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE CLASS:

Nothing.... Well money, cash preferred would be required. But beyond that, NOTHING.
I provide everything you need for the class.

Notary will require valid California Identification.

Due to the distance traveled, and the need to insure those who sign up will show, I must request a deposit.
$30.00 Deposit needed to insure we get 10. 20 is the number for the discount.

Paypal discreet to tacsupply@comcast.net

Make sure to let me know your screen name here on Cal guns in the pay pal transfer.

I can take a credit card for deposit.
I would need a PM, or some form of message in email form allowing me to run the card for a deposit.

Example;

I am allowing for Matt Pimentel to charge my credit card for a non-refundable deposit of $30.00. This money is for partial payment towards my attending a 4 hour lecture min. to meet the standard for the State of Utah BCI.

If I am unable to attend, due to some unforeseen issue, I will of course forward the deposit to the next class.

Checks are fine also, made out to Matt Pimentel.

Address:
Matt Pimentel
4089 N Clovis Ave
Fresno, Calif. 93727

You can easily call me at my business to make a deposit with a credit card, or ask any questions.
559-486-1361.

Awesome guys, and like I said a paid deposit gets you into the light group buy located in this thread.
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=127359

As I state in my classes, the light buy is for YOU, and not for me. If you carry a knife on your person, you will quikly find that you will use your small powerful light much more then a carried knife. Plus, this is an effective defensive weapon that quickly projects your survival mindset by merely shining light! Additionally, its something you can carry anywhere. Planes, courts, and anywhere knives are not allowed.

If you see projected powerful light sweeping around dark areas, and you are a bad guy, what do you think that person thinks is on the other end of the light?...............Most answer police or such. That alone can allow for peace of mind.
I always ask my classmates how many carry a small powerful light with them at all times. I see about 1% or even less who do this. But, ask them about a knife, and I see about 30%-40%.

Get yourself a light.

Looking forward to meeting all of you at the class.

I had called the BCI last week, and they kindly returned my call today.

During the course of the conversation, one of the gentlemen in the CCW unit made me aware of House Bill 204.

CONCEALED FIREARMS INSTRUCTORS AMENDMENTS 2009 GENERAL SESSION
STATE OF UTAH
Chief Sponsor: Curtis Oda
Senate Sponsor: ____________

General Description:
This bill modifies provisions related to the requirements for obtaining certification as a concealed firearms instructor.
Highlighted Provisions:
This bill: provides that an applicant for certification as a concealed firearms instructor must be a resident of the state; and makes certain technical changes.

If it were to pass through all processes without much effort, the earliest it could go into effect would be March?? Thats what I asked and his reply was indeed March.
He said there wasnt much to worry about at this point since it hasnt gone to committee.
If passed, then you will have to travel to Utah to get your CCW.

Good thing you guys are working on yours here.. like I said, I just today found out about this today. Not trying to scare you into taking the class, just posting for those of you who have shown the good sense to move on this.

I was wondering if this would have any impact. Sounds like we are good to go for the time being. Did they give you an idea of when this may change, or is it still up in the air at this point?

I read the thread, and the article.
Okay, altho I checked Utah HB204 on the web, and they still showed the Bill with the requirement that an Instructor must be a resident.
I will keep checking to see when they change the wording.

I know the Newspaper said it wouldnt affect out of State Instructors. I am pleased that there has been a change.

I will probably go for this class with a friend of mine as this is really close to my residence. I will know for sure in few days after I work out my schedule. Are you going to limit the number of people in the class once filled??
Thanks,
