Default Bulk .224 55 grain bullets

Hey guys I just got into reloading and I'm looking for some bulk .224 55 grain fmj. I saw a post a while back with a link to a website where they were selling them by the thousand but I can't seem to find them. Any links or info would be great. thanks

Also look at Montana gold. They include shipping in the price and do not charge sales tax.

Well then, that is ****ed up from Goldenwest to charge more to CA residents. Looking at the prices, It would be cheaper to buy them from Montana Gold because you don't pay for shipping and no taxes. With Goldenwest you pay for CA taxes and shipping. Flack, I wish I would have known about Montana...

IIRC you can pick up @ GW if you're local to them to save on shipping, but I don't think they have any sort of storefront.

I'm sure Montana Gold gets a good bulk discount as a distributor if they're buying 100k+ so they can sell them cheaper. Not much different than any other business when you can order direct at MSRP vs. from a distributor for a little less.

Thanks for the link. It comes out to about the same price because they charge for shipping and Montana Does not.

They work good for me for what I want them for. Here is a pic of them at 200 yards. This was done from the standing position. It was hard to aim with my Leupold CQ/T scope since the black dot covered the black at 200 yards.

I like those prices for the Montana Gold bullets. Never heard of them before, but looks like they're worth a shot (pun totally intended).

tell me about it,

I was trying to get a small group buy and no one was interested, I watched the 1LB varget powder go from 170+ jars to 0 in about a weeks time.

I thought about doing a group buy in my area but then I just ended up placing an order while the powder was in stock. I bought 10 lbs so it probably about breaks even if I could have found it locally. But no one in my area had the powder I was looking for.

Sucks.... I seriously considered cancelling from GW and order from MG.... but I am a little running out of time... so.... *sigh*

Bought 4k Hornadys' from Grafs for $317.00 shipped. I looked at Powder valley first and almost had to call the paramedics when I saw the price! $197.85 for 2k plus shipping! Thats a $60.35 increase.

I got one of the 6000 count cases of the Hornady from Widener's for $419 ppd. about a month back. Glad I ordered it when I did!!! They showed them in stock when I ordered them and it still took about a month to receive them.

When I bought my first AR15 back in '88 or so, Norinco .223 ammo was $0.10 a round. I didn't bother to reload at those prices.....now we're paying that much for the bullets alone. I sure miss the old days.

Best bet would be to keep scanning the big suppliers and order as soon as you see they have what you need in stock as they sell out almost instantly nowadays.......too damn many new reloaders!!!!
