Default These may be the nicest S&W revolver grips I've seen

I do love nice wood grips on a blued smith. But the price is too tough to swallow.

I especially like the grips in Terry J. Popkin's photos

Check out Jim Badger and his grips.

I'm kinda partial to the Karl Nill grips myself.

Nil grips are nice too. I prefer Ahrends to Badger grips.

Grips like that sure make a pretty gun but I guess I've got a much more utilitarian notion of what guns are all about. Truth of the matter is, I'm something of a utilitarian guy all the way around. About the only thing I decorate is myself, and I try to be sublt about that!!

Well from a utilitarian aspect they're custom made for your hand. So far repeating the mantra of "guns r tools guns r tools guns r tools guns r tools guns r tools" seems to be working, I haven't sent in an order yet.

Very nice, very pricey grips. But I'll be placing an order for a set the day I get myself a pinned and recessed S&W 27 or 28.

Maybe if I got a registered magnum. But buying a registered magnum and replacing the grips seems wrong.

Me too. I'm still not really interested in carrying them in the rain, either..but that'll pass.

Love the Keith Brown grips, though. I've been watching those over on the S&W Forum for a long time.

Another person whose grips are stunning is Kurac - a fellow calgunner, too.

Default Keith Brown Grips

I have purchased two sets of Roper Style Grips for two of my S & W N Frame Revolvers. This man is a Master Craftsman and his grips really are outstanding....

Hogue actually makes some very nice wood grips for revolvers; I have a 30 year old set for an N-frame that are beautiful and were custom made by them for my hand.
