Default Total cost for Certificate of Eligibility?

I'm looking over the COE forms right now and I'm trying to figure out how much this costs total. I was under the impression I could obtain a COE for $30 but after looking at the forms it appears to be more. From what I'm seeing I have to pay:

$32 for a DOJ processing fee
$19 FBI fingerprinting process fee
$22 COE processing fee
$10 Livescan operators fee (cheapest I could find)

$83 Total?

So if I understand this right I would pay the livescan operator for 3 items (thier fee/ fee to send it to DOJ / fee to send it to FBI)? Also once I get the COE the first time I would only need to pay the $22 renewal each year w/o having to pay the other fees each time?

Also I just had a livescan (4mo ago) done but I'm pretty sure I still need to do it again for this since they aren't universal, correct?

Thanks for the advice-

Sounds about right. Mine was around $75 total. Not sure if the livescan can be re-used. My renewal just arrived in the mail and it is the $22 fee, check the box "no changes" and nothing else required but the postage stamp.

You do have to perform the livescan again. Also you are both correct that the ongoing cost is only $22 a year.

Livescan is like a fancy e-mail. Doesn't get stored.

Thanks guys, got my prints rolled today ($66 total) and I'll be sending my COE ap off tomorrow.

Quick questions: I assume the only box I check is collector? And do I need to include my C&R or the FFL # that comes with it? From how I read it I don't need to include anything other than the COE application and the ATI number from the livescan.

Thanks

That's all you need. Expect to get it in about 2 weeks.

Yup. I've never understood why the DoJ is unable to change simple things off of the Live Scan form that might have been entered due to operator or applicant error.

Well, I guess it depends on who does the scanning. I got printed at the local PD a few weeks ago for a BI. The agency gave me the wrong cards the first time and I had to go back and get them done on new cards.

The guy just found me in the computer, stuck the new cards in, and printed them.

I'd be interested to see what machine was able to hold onto your records for a few weeks at a time. Perhaps it's a software setting.
