Default anyone purchase the CMMG 308 lower?

Anyone have one yet? I just think I need to get my hands on one of these soon. It is also very, very nice that it takes G3 mags

They don't take armalite uppers, and I assume those are way better than the DPMS ones so that's why I think there aren't that many people owning them.

They aren't shipping them yet to my knowledge. The DPMS compatible looks like it will be the first out, then the G3/FAL mag compatible, than the Armalite compatible.....

If you are saying that the armalite uppers are better than the DPMS uppers, TAKE IT BACK NOW!!! I hear nothing but good things about the DPMS uppers and mine shoots sub-MOA quite easily with the right loads. However I would imagine that the G3 mags could create some type of feeding problems with an AR-308 upper.

The DPMS uppers are very good. Mine will also shoot sub-moa all day long. I've heard nothing but positive things from people that own them as well.

That's cool, I'll give it some thought when I am ready to build an AR-10.

I bought one. Waiting for them to ship. I have heard as soon as one week from now. I have the entire parts kit waiting to assemble. Driving me crazy.

I'm not holding my breath.

It will be interesting to see how they actually work when in peoples hands, too.

So besides the 2 lowers posted. Someone above mentioned an Armalite compatible lower. I hope that is true, and that they make it to accept G3 mags too.

I believe a DPMS upper needs to be opened up a bit to accept the G3 mag. I'll wait for a G3 mag compatible upper.

Im very interested in a CMMG AR-10 Lower, but have a few questions.

This is completely compatible with Armalite AR-10 Style Uppers? Can I use an Armalite AR-10 Lower Parts Kit with this lower, and will I be able to use AR-10 Gen II Mags?

Also, can someone give me an idea on pricing and when it will be available?

According to CMMGs website these are compatible with Armalite uppers. It looks like a fully compatible lower.
The other version is for the DPMS system.
The price listed is $400

I ordered a G3 mag compatable lower back on 17 November, hope they start shipping soon. G3 mags are cheap, but not here in Kali. Wonder if Robert can be talked into selling kits to replace the screwed up mags I have.

Will CMMG ship direct to a CA FFL now or are they still requiring a middle man bounce?
I ran into this issue in 2007 with them

From CMMG's post on the AR15 board 29 January:

"Receivers are at anodize. Orders will start hitting next week.

Jeff"

No sure if this applies to both the G3 and DPMS mag versions.

I am sorry to break the news to you people... CMMG is not doing an Armalite compatible lower. I just spoke with Jordan @ CMMG, he stated that it was only a prototype. The only 308 lower they are producing is in the DPMS platform. I know this cause I wanted a CMMG also, I already have my Armalite upper. I now have to look for Noveske of Aero Precision lower that will work with AR-10 Armalite upper or if anyone else knows of a compatible lower for Armalite AR-10 uppers... Thanx for BLOWEN smoke CMMG

Iron Ridge Arms makes an AR10 compatable lower, Excellent craftsmanship as well. Google them, I have one and there is an AR10 in the for sale section that they built. Very nice
