30 day's from pickup date?
30 from DROS (purchase) date.

9 days 1 hour until I can pick up my newest one.

While I understand the reason behind a 10 day waiting or cooling off period for a persons first firearm, how can they justify it when someone already has a rifle and or pistol?!?

Yeah, I've always felt the same about the 10 day wait when applied to a trade.

Anyone remember when we used to have a 15 day waiting period?

BTW, I have a 1903 Colt in DROS jail now, will get it on the 21st.

10 day, ha, I laugh. I think the 15 year wait from 6 yrs old when I wanted my first gun til I turned 21 was the worst!

I have another 7 days or so until I can pick up my Walther P22, but I got enough homework to keep me busy until then.

Seven 24 hour periods remain untill I pick up.

I went into a gun shop with the intention of buying all three pistols that I wanted at once with my C&R/COE. Unfortunately for them they weren't on board with that and I found one of the pistols I was planning to buy right here.

The conversation went something like this...

"Hi there I would like to buy three pistols and I brought in my C&R License and my COE so I can pick them up all at once."

"Sorry, we can't do that, that is illegal. The department of justice sent us a letter saying that it only works for C&R pistols."

"What the department of justice SAYS and what the law SAYS are two different things."

"We have to go by what the department of justice tells us."

"If the department of justice sent you a letter that said you're not allowed to eat ketchup on a hotdog would you stop doing it?"

Jeez, I need to join this support group. My 1911 MilSpec has been back at the factory 4 separate times, and I've spent more time without a 1911 than with one at this point. Finally, this time around the factory decided to replace mine, but it'll be another two weeks before the replacement arrives at my FFL.
THEN my 10 day wait can start.
Oy.

36 hours until I can pick up my two AR-15 lowers and 6 days left on my G21. Now if only I can find some good LPKs in stock. The wait is killing me.

In 3 days and 7 hours I pickup my Ruger P95DC in 9mm. I found some solace in buying ammo for it at Wally World. Perhaps I'll use my 10% discout coupon at Big5 to buy a case for it today.

As the 18th of November gets closer, the days seem to get longer. Why is that?

Friends of ours left So Cal & relocated to NW Montana where wildlife is your neighbor : mtn lion, wolf, grizzly, black bear, whitetail & mule deer, elk, moose, lynx, wolverine, badger, skunks, grouse ,turkeys, fox, coyotes. They decided they needed another handgun for his wifes protection so they went to a local shop to check out the handguns ,decided on a Taurus Tracker showed his ID, filled out one form, paid for the gun and walked out of the store with it.That's the way it should be everywhere!

I've got a S&W 8-shot .357 Nightguard in escrow.....clears day after Thanksgiving. Just enough time left to buy one more handgun before 1-20-08. I'm headed to the Sheriff's Office this morning to pick up CCW apps for the wife and a neighbor. They both will buy CCW pistols as well. Get 'em while you can!

If Cartman has tought us anything, just have a friend bury you in snow so that you freeze. Then in however many days it is until you can get the pistol, have him thaw you.

I was going to wait until after my vacation but I'm thinking if I buy it before I go then I wont even notice the time going by and when my trip is over Ill still have something to look forward too... does that make any scene to anyone besides me?
