I would consider the last two black. Just because you add colored parts doesn't mean it's not black. What color is your lower/upper combo?

Well based on that then over half the ones shown in this thread are black.

Actually, it does. If the parts arent black, that means they are Non-Black. Just like the thread says.

First time I've ever posted my AR on here so I'll post a spec sheet.

Sog Armory lower
Spikes Biohazard upper
Stark Grip
Vltor E-mod stock
Spikes Bar rail free float handguard
BCM 18'' Ionbond barrel with rifle length gas system
BCM BCG
Spikes hard chrome bolt
GoGun Talon Brake (works awesome)
Chip McCormick 3.5 lb single stage trigger group(IMO just as good as the wilson combat TTU but about the same price anyway)
CAA Bipod
Magpul MS2 sling
BCM Gunfighter charging handle
EBR V.2 extended bolt release
KNS Precision ant-rotation pins
Not even going to mention the glass because I'm not even slightly proud of it although for now it gets the job done.

You need to use the img tags

So it would look like this when you post it. [img] Your photo url here[/img]

Or you can click this little box and add the url to it

Not quite done, still need a BCG and BUIS, plus I need to add a clearcoat next weekend (just shot the barrel today after I got the upper assembly back from Riflegear).

Aluma-Hyde Coyote base, Desert Sand primary top color, with Rustoleum dark brown and smidgen of forest green.

Vltor Modstock, Troy 9" TRX Battlerail, Vortex FH (pinned), Daniel 14.5" barrel, LRB lower, CProd 10/30, and a JeffU FACOG.

Lucked out on the pattern.
I used Alumahyde-II. Laid down the FDE (Coyote)... it looks greenish in the photos, but it's actually a dead-on match for the Magpul and Vltor FDE.

I let that cure for a week, then stopped at the costume store and bought a couple of pair of fishnet stockings.

I had the CAA "FDE" PG to deal with... and CAA's idea of FDE is closer to "desert sand", so I cut a "window" in a piece of cardboard and shot that, making sure to cover the receiver in the PG area for a match.

Left the fishnets in place and hung everything to cure for another week.
The dark brown and forest green are RustOleum "Camo" colors. I shot those through smaller slits in a paper plate.... used crescent, "Y" shape, and "leaf" shapes. Ended up using mostly the "Y" and the leaf... the crescent slit didn't allow enough paint through.

I didn't use the pre-made pattern stickers... I prefer a softer edge to the patterns, and I'm very happy with the way this came out.
It got a top coat of AH-II clear Saturday.

I really like that rail, but I did lose one of the screws for the bolt on rail sections.
No rush... I'll be picking up my 2nd Calguns lower Saturday, and the other rail will be going on that lower... I still have my original Kaiser Calguns lower waiting for a 20" upper.

I posted photos my MRE M6A2-S previously, but this is a perfect thread for them. I think I might have the lower coated in Birdsong NSW (Naval Special Warfare) Green-T, as it will look much better than the plain black. Like the MRE anodizing on LWRC rifles, Birdsong finishes also appear to change color in varying light and backgrounds. For reference, I have posted two (2) photos of the same Sig P228 in Birdsong NSW Green-T with contracting Black-T.

MRE LWRC M6A2-S w/UBR in OD & Black, OD MIAD, TD Rail Covers, ACOG TA11 & Larue LT-100, Larue LT-706 + KMW PodLoc:

Sig Sauer P228 finished in Birdsong "Naval Special Warfare" Green-T & Black-T::
