Default Thumbs up to RMB Enterprises, FFL in Milpitas, CA

Rob Blank 408-946-5289 $40 + DROS= $65
RMB Enterprises fax: 408-946-5378
1000 Jacklin Road
Milpitas, CA 95035

Just ordered a couple of out of state CA legal items and had them sent to Rob. He pulled through without any issues, flawlessly, communicated well, and got DROS going without any problems at all.

Great guy, no BS, helpful, and friendly. He is OLL friendly.

A big +1 for him and his FFL services.

Rob's a great guy.

He handled massive DOJ OLL drama with aplomb.

I always wanted to check the place. Does he have store front, or solely for transfer (like Roger's in Santa Clara)?

+1000000 for rob....

handled a few transactions for me, before the OLL rush.

and then i heard about the OLL mishap and how he bought a gigantic safe to follow DOJ hassles...

but then i found out IRVINGTON ARMS... 10 minute drive vs 30... sigh...

Yep, I've done business with Bob since early 07. Since that time I have used him at least 10 times for my transfers. Great guy to work with and his price is fantastic. First time going to his place it was just a little hard to find.

Does he charge tax for FFL to FFL transfer from another state? I don't understand why some FFLs charge tax for out of state items, even some in-home FFLs do. I found my new transfer FFL in South San Francisco for non OLL firearms that doesn't charge tax.

First met Rob in 2004 or 2005 - definitely during the OLL thing, too. I had already used his services prior, though. I referred a friend to him recently and that transaction also went off very well. More kudos for Rob!!

No, he doesn't. At least, I never paid sales tax when getting out of state items through Rob.

Yep, he said I'm right below the clock.....I kept looking for a store front. Once I figured it out, it was easy. He's got a really sweet set up.

He has never charged tax on any of my 10 + transactions from out of state FFL's. I use him for my Lanworld and Buds Guns transfers.

Somebody actually uses Cash Loan Inc for transfers? That place is wack . . . I went in once to ask about a transfer . . . never went back. It's 5 minutes from my house in South City but I'd never go there for even a simple transfer. Too much BS.

That would be my reaction as well...it's not clear that's who Gene was referring to, but I could be wrong.

I've bought a lot of guns and I understand the paperwork very, very well...but the employees (one in particular) gave me so much endless guff (didn't like my jacket and slacks, I guess) every time I went there that I happily switched to another more expensive, less convenient FFL after about 4 transfers.

I have a pretty high threshold for FFLs, too...I understand the number and type of knuckleheads they have to deal with. But those guys...you don't need my business? Not a problem, pal. Hope the jewelry resale business works out for you.

LOL, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes with no issues. Were you transfering OLLs? They don't mess with those. They're the nearest FFL to me that doesn't charge tax and their fees are ok.

I was trying to transfer a PA63 from J&G Sales. PITA! Roger's Relics is well worth the drive.

Rob? Impossible. 2 years ago was Feb 2007. MANY of us had already used Rob's services to get OLL's. Please try again. He will transfer them.

slightly before that Turby. cuz I bought my upper from Wes around Nov 06 (just checked my ms money) and my lowers were processed by Gun Exchange (man, did I pay more than what I would've just going to Roger's Relics). Hence I remember around 2 yrs ago.

but will keep him in mind for next ones.

Ok, I think I know what the deal is. You probably tried to do a transfer during the time when the lowers were seized by the DOJ. He was probably putting a stop to OLL transfers while the lower seizing situation was getting worked out. Sorry, I misunderstood the timeframe - am pretty sure he will do 'em now.

Pls lemme know if i'm wrong on the prices...haven't done any transfers at either RMB or Roger's Relic...but i've got quotes from them. And seems like RR, when transfering multiple OLL's is a cheaper route, than going with RMB.

RMB ==> $40 + $25 = $65 (Transfer Fee + DROS fee)
additional OLL ==> $40

RR ==> $40 + $25 = $65 (Transfer Fee + DROS fee)
additional OLL ==> $15

If i was transfering one long gun than sure i'd use RMB, but for multiple long guns wouldn't RR be a better choice?

Just wanna make sure, times are hard right now.

This is an old topic, but I thought I should reply. Yeah, it looks like it's cheaper to use RR for multiples.

I still stand by my RMB recommendation, though!

I've dealt with Rob Blank for several shipments of U.S. Firearms SAA replicas, and have never had a problem. The first visit was strenuous; his office was tough to find. I actually saw a cop in a parking lot and inquired about the address, and finally got there, only to find two FBI agents, but that's another story.

Pacific coast time, Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, or so. His phone forwards to a message device, but may not do so too far after hours. This is a holiday weekend, so adjust accordingly.

Monday through Friday only. Call to make sure he is there. Good luck finding his place. I drove by it twice and still had to call to find out exactly where his office is.
