Default Sticky this Holster List

This is the best list I can make of Holster Manufactures and Distributors on the internet. When I post it there are 89 businesses listed. I delibertely left out the links that just lead you to more links, those aren't any fun. When I post this all the links work but if you find one that doesn't send me a PM and I will fix it or remove it. If you know of any other manufactures let me know and I will add them asap, I would like to eventually purge the huge distributors from the list and make the list more about the guys and gals that make holsters for me and you to enjoy.

Somebody sent me a pm about the Holster list so I had to bump it back to the top.

A couple other forums have made it a sticky so it stays up top nearly all the time, I want everyone to be able to use this as a reference whenever they are looking for a new holster. I posted it on XDTalk forum, the 1911 forum, GeorgiaPacking.org forum and a local group GON Forum. I need to log in to my account at the High Road and post it there too. Is there anywhere else I should post it? If you have a favorite gun related forum feel free to copy it and post it just as long as you give credit for it to the LoneOak and If you can make a mention of my favorite no Compromise 2nd Ammendment Grassroots orginization dedicated to the preservation and expansion of Georgia Ctizens firearms rights GeorgiaCarry.org it would be greatly appreciated.

I know my list isn't perfect and can't possible include every holster maker in the US but I think I have most all the custom makers at least all the ones I could find in a weekend search. Manufactures like Galco are in nearly every gun store in the country and as such I don't really consider them a custon manufacture. There is anothe one Tanga, or taurus or something that begins with a T that makes some nice looking stuff but I believe it is all stock items and sold to local shops wholesale before we can get our hands on it. I will do some more research on thess companies and try to get them added to the list in the next couple days. I just got off a terrible night shift and my brain just won't work good enough now to make it happen.

I see that http://www.nossargunleather.com/ is a custom maker and after I check him out a little I will get him added to the list.

I know my list isn't perfect and doesn't include everyone that makes holsters but I really fell that it may be the best list out there. With that said I am open for all the help I can get to make it better and maybe one day soon it will be a complete list of all legitimate holster artist in this great country of the United States of America. Any help is greatly appreciated and critisem is taken into account and hopefully resolved to please all parties involved.

You are entirely correct, Galco should have been in the original list and it has now been added. Thank you for pointing it out!!

I wonder if there is anyway that I could get a sticky on my list so it would stay close to the top so everyone searching for a holster in the future would be able to access the list without having to search for it.

One more thing, If the list helps you find a quality holster that you are really happy with would you please post or send me a pm so I know that my efforts are paying off. I sure would appreciate it. I will be adding some more makers as my times allow, my job stinks right now and I just can't get my brain right to on this when I get home, hopefully I'll have a day or two off soon.

Even One more thing, A great big thanks to the Mods here at CalGuns for the sticky. It kind of makes me proud that I did a good enough job that the members and Moderators of this neat forum would honor me with a sticky on my Holster List so It will remain available for new and Old members to enjoy for a long time to come.

I'm going to try and make an update next week to add all the new makers I have found since I originally posted the list. My job is real crazy now but I have a couple days off during the middle of the week coming up and hopefully I will be able to get it done. Stay tuned for the updates.

Thanks a bunch for looking and using my list, once again if any of you find something you like off my list and make a purchase, please drop me a Pm and let me know my efforts are paying off.

I am the LoneOak.

I'm going to make a major update the week after the first of the year. I should have plenty of time to work on it then as I will have already been eliminated from my job. These last few weeks have been hectic and difficult to deal with but I will survive.

There should be at least 20 new custom Holster manufactures in the new list update.

Great list but I think the best custom holster makers are Kramer,Milt Sparks,Del Fatti and Lou Alessi. Most are reasonable priced but some have long wait times to make. Most of the off the self holsters are overpriced garbage .

Thanks for the compliment lepcur, it was a lot of work to begin with. I am trying to get a few days off work so I can catch up with the yard work and spend several hours updating my Holster List. I have posted it in about 10 different gun forums and have received gratitude from each and every one. I have also received many new manufactures that I need to add and hopefully I can get it done soon.

I am also working on a photo essay of my holster collection, which is not real fancy but contains quite a few pieces of some very fine leather and some mass market leather. It should be ready in a couple months and I will post it everywhere I can.

And he is California-based.

I am awaiting a IWB for my full-sized railed 1911.

New custom maker to add... Lobo Gun Leather.

Very responsive and friendly to e-mail inquiries. I'm ordering a custom Tom Threepersons for my 629.

RSR Defense holsters. No complaints at all. I have had several long days at FS using these holsters - drawing and reholstering several thousand times without any issues whatsoever. The make the paddle to belt attachment as well. The price is crazy cheap at CDNN compared to other similar holsters or the same holster made under other names.

IMI Defense http://www.imidefense.com/
(Formerly RSR Defense the website says)

I think its the same hoslter, but available for many more models. This is the Co website and doesnt show prices. Probably wont be as cheap as CDNN if you have the gun models CDNN carries.

May want to add Kholster... http://www.kholster.com/

Small maker of leather and kydex IWB concealment holsters. I just picked one up for a Glock 23, not as polished or detailed as some of the big names but much less expensive - $49. Very happy with it so far, will post pics to update my thread from a few weeks back when I get a chance. Good communication and service on my order.

3/28/10 update - Kholster has a 20% off special running through April, starting 4/1.
