Default How many guns can you own legally?

Hi,
I'm getting concerned over the fact I own alot of firearms now...Two of which I bought at a ffl gunshop...the nine others I bought from gunshows and off of C&R holders on calguns. I met some collectors with over 75 guns but they have there C&R's.
Is there a specific limit amount of guns you can own? Yes or No?

what amount/When does the A.T.F. start to notice?

It is still Amercia, and you can have as many as you want. So far.

The guys with C&Rs are serious addicts wishing to deal with a little extra
paper hassle to save some dough when feeding their addiction.

It's funny that everybody in California thinks that everything they do will be illegal. I used to think the same thing.

You get cut off at 1 million guns.

You can't have any more than that. Once you're at a million, you are cut off until you sell one.

Sorry

You can buy as many as you can afford,

the largest single purchase I've made was 72 at one time.

As many as can fit on your boat (you know...for that tragic boating accident you're going to have).

Some were barreled receivers, mosin nagants, enfields, steyr's etc, but there was a crate of sks's in there too...

The important thing was that 72 firearms that the state of CA didn't/doesn't know about (and that never have been on a 4473 form) made their way into the hands of Americans on this side of the line.

I've since burned all records and gotten rid of my license.

It was a HUGE shipment, IIRC it was 4 or 5 roughly 100lb boxes.. (man was my wife pissed when those showed up)

.... Just to add, any I disposed of were sold/traded for the sole purpose of enhancing my collection, it was not done as a source of income. (the amount I spend on firearms is ridiculous)

I walked into Barnwood Arms and was checking out their wall of rifles, one of the guys workingf there said " I bet you wish you had that many rifles huh" I looked at the rifles did some quick math in my head and said " I would have to get rid of 30 or so of my rifles for that. I just loved the look on his face.

Buy them all I say.

WHAT??? that would be like CHRISTMAS at my house!!! I would take a pic holding 2 SKS's in a mirror and send it to Chris saying "baby look what santa brought us today!!!"

But I guess I am not the avg girl when it comes to guns. As long as we have food on the table, gas in our relativly new and reliable cars, bills get paid and we have a few toys other than guns....I don't care how many we have!!!!

Classic.

I do wonder how many total firearms are owned by members here, and then in CA in general....

I figure one for each neighbor, family member, dog, cat, fish, toad, rat, snake, racoon, possum, skunk, and deer in a 4 block radius....plus 70-80 or so for me and another 70-80 or so for Chris and then we might think about slowing down.

My gun ownership has increased 6x since I got with him......for wedding presents I want engraved 1911's and AR 15's with our date on em....and of course pelican cases.

Thats not over kill is it??

more than a bread box, less than an elephant.

oh, and for every dozen or two dozen in your safe, you should have one in the ground.

The ATF isn't likely to notice anything if you buy them one at a time... Cal DOJ might, but there are no restrictions as to how many firearms you can own...

I knew I had a few more than your average NEA member, but when I couldn't find the ladder(loaned it to a friend...) I discovered that ammo boxes and crates make for a field expedient stairway. To the roof.
