Default That One Gun

So I've been bedridded from surgery and used the time to clean the guns. I have a couple of pretty cool guns I like. But none of them are really like my pride and joy so it got me thinking.

If you could get "That One Gun" what would it be? Could be a practical shooter, or a trophy that sits in the safe, but that one gun you look at and say WHOA

Um Cali legal and setting aside cost

If it wasn't Cali legal, Barret M82, for obvious reasons. I guess I could have it rechambered in .510 DTC and be fine. So, there ya go.

Wouldn't mind having a big bad *** pre-64 Model 70 in a monster bore like .458 or .460 Lott.

Any of the old monster elephant guns would be nice.

Wouldn't mind having my Beowulf back.

Right now I'm pining after a S&W 1911PD with rail.
http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...09&isFirearm=Y

If it didn't have to be CA legal, probably an HK P30 or FNP-9 USG. Nothing on the CA list meets my ideal gun specs... 9x19mm, polymer frame, light rail, and front slide serrations. I didn't think I was being too picky...

My one handgun?

WGerman / Non rebounding hammer / SIG SAUER P220

If you're talking rifles?

Steyr AUG w/ 16, 20 and 24" bipod barrels

I'm lucky to have them both.

Would have to be the first one I bought.
Early twenties bought a S&W Highway Patrolman 6 Inch Barrel from a LEO. Came with a quick draw rearward holster. It was rusty and came out of his nightstand. Did a lot of rubbing with steel wool on it to remove the rust. Shot it and it was shaving lead (out of time). Found the best S&W Gunsmith in the LA Area. Had a new extractor installed and timed. They also reset the Cylinder to Barrel Gap. And got her re-blued. I tell you one thing. It has got the best single action trigger I have ever shot. If she is cocked don’t even think about touching the trigger until you are on target. I know this may not be the safest, but makes for an exceptional bullseye shooting pistol. Smith says it was made at the end of 1956. This is the same year I was born. Still have her and she is still a shooter.

Out of the ones I have, it'd have to by my low seriel numbered Model 70 Westerner in .243 withOUT the floorplate cutout. RARE RARE RARE. I've never seen another one like it, either early without floorplate OR westerner in a small bore.

Only thing that sucks is that someone before me cut down the stock so its about two inches too short for my very tall *** and I can't seem to find a new stock for it, anywhere.

I'd say a custom STI or Para in 40 that is ready to go shoot an action pistol match in limited class, but built to where all the bells, whistles and beauty to go with it. A gun like that is beautiful, but can be used to fight the zombies.

Did you see the .45 cal Walther P38 that Greg Martin auctioned off?

Scarry scarney, get the Korth 357 revolver. I think there is one for sale in Carson City. The others are a little easier to find.

Scary Scarrny...I'll letcha shoot my Automag II and Automag III if you let me shoot your DTC!

=]

The gyrojet would be f'ing sweet too.
Wildey I would like, Sig 210 I would love!

A lot of the options on here are fairly mundane, dontcha'll think? The kind of thing that if you buckle down and save for, its yours...not the off the wall-out-there-couldn't justify it if you tried kind of stuff some of us want...

Scroll down to the bottom, no stock though.

Oh and for the gun I'd want, probably a cheytac .408 and I know its overrated.
