Default We need some Type 99 Pron..

This is my newest project, getting this Type 99 back in shooting condition. It's all numbers matching. My dad got it from my grandfather when he passed away, he brought it back as a war trophy. He cut the stock down to make it lighter for deer hunting. My dad then, as a way of deactivating it broke the firing pin. So, I plan on getting it clean, re blued, and replacing the firing pin. It looks strong all around, the only thing that I notice is that when I dry fire is the bolt pops up a bit and looses up (I assume that is normal?). Other than that it seems to function good, solid click when dry fired. It's a Kokura Arsenal series 22 Serial #19520. Mum has been removed. Think it would be a good shooter again?
Anyway the pics:

It looks pretty good to me ---- I would think it more than worthwhile to repair for a shooter. Not sure if the cost of restoring to as issued would be justified though.. Was the barrel cut?

Here's mine: Nagoya Arsenal, Series 5. I just picked it up last month. Plan to use it at the local warhorse shoot.

What you have there is a kokura. Nagoya never made it past Series 12

Arisakas are built really strong for really uneducated conscripts. New FP and no doubts it'll be out doing the Emperor's business in no time. Check SarcoInc, they suck on service, but they should have it

Kokura Series 22, does it have a chromeline barrel? wont have AA sights or monopod, so don't worry too much about replacing them
