So what did you expect. There will not be any new guns added until the "Safe Hand Gun" list is dissolved.
Besides there are a multitude of hand guns to chose from as it is. However you can always find a holier then thou L.E.O. and have them buy one for you.
After all they are exempt because of there better training then you.

Not exactly true - my understanding is that revolvers will still make it onto the list -- the 'chamber loaded' flag requirements is for semi-autos. And I am waiting for S&W's new 627 and 27's (and 25's, and 24's ) to be added to the list.

Yeah, that one sticks in everybody's craw I think.

Revolvers CAn still make the list -- but manufacturers have to want to supply the test samples and pay the State fees -- and many have deemed that excessive for some of the low production run variants.

I'll repeat: it's the death of a thousand paper cuts they're going for here.

I keep checking it for the S&W 325 Thunder Ranch Defense revolver -- the folks at S&W say it has been submitted and they are just waiting...

Yea, I'd like to see the Ruger SP 101 in .327mag. make the list.
I have heard it will be, but when and how long does a test take and from the end of the test to sale?

Speaking of Ruger I'd love to see the LCP on the list...

Won't happen as long as the list exists. No mag disconnect. No plans by Ruger to add one.

Here is an email from Ruger:

Quote:
The LCP is not available in California. Under California Law, center fire pistols manufactured after January 1, 2007 must be equipped with both a loaded chamber indicator and a magazine disconnect. Although the LCP has a witness hole that allows one to determine the presence of a round on the chamber, the California Department of Justice has not recognized this device as satisfying the loaded chamber indicator requirement. The LCP does not have a magazine disconnect either. As such, the LCP will not be offered in California in its current configuration. At this point, there are no plans to produce a California compliant model.
