Default Gun Shops in Valencia/San Fernando Valley

Anyone know of any good shops in Valencia/San Fernando Valley, or any relatively close by that carries a good selection of the higher end 1911s?
thanks.

Gun World in Burbank but they are expensive. Nice selection of most everything there. Staff has been courteous and helpful to me.

Last time I was there the pro-shop at the OAKTREE range had a good selection of 1911s.

Also, don't be afraid to haggle with the guys at Gunworld. they have been known to strike a deal.

King's Gun Works in Glendale specializes in the 1911 and parts for it. Very friendly and helpful crew too.

Tom Watt at A Place To Shoot range in Saugus will order you firearms but he does not stock anything but ammo at the range.

Higher end 1911's Baer, Wilson, Bar-Sto, SVI, Nighthawk. I don't know anybody who stocks many of any of them. You might try Gun World, or Martin B. Rettings.

If you are calling a Kimber hi end then Turners Reseda ask for Joe or Chad. If you don't mind ordering try the Firing Line in Northridge.

Some idiot had started a rumor a couple years ago that Kings had been shutdown by the ATF following a failed compliance inspection. That was a rumor. Don't know if they are still around but they were last year from what I hear. They last time I stopped by the store was in 2004.

Default Kings Gun Works

Kings Gun Works is indeed gone. The shop is still there, however, under new ownership.
It is now called Gunkings Armory. Only the ownership and name have changed. Majority of the staff is still there. I can't speak for anyone else, but every time that I have been there I have enjoyed superb service,Great attitude and good selection. The ONLY other shop that I will patronize is Fort
Courage in Simi Valley. Although it is a 30 minute drive, I will gladly make it.
Tim is a great guy. Best selection I have seen in the last few years. As for Gun World in Burbank, I will NEVER enter that shop again. Overpriced,arrogant/hostile attitude by the clerks that I have dealt with and in my opinion, questionable ethics. Case in point. I was in there, about a week
before Winchester announced the end of the 94. I was looking at a model 94
with a price tag of $400.00 A couple of days after the announcement, the same rifle(verified by serial number) was $800.00! I challenged a clerk about it. His reply, "So what. whatever the traffic will bear!" While legal, the owner can charge whatever he wants, I don't like greedy people!
