Default Picked up first MMG... some tips?

I picked up my first MMG equipped gun at 4pm today -- a Robinson Arms XCR .223 --

taking it to range THursday for testing -- any tips on the MMG and firing techniques? I've always admired the AR ergonomics -- things like switching the safety, etc. become automatic -- I see putting the safety on has become a two hand affair.

Looks good to me. Nice choice on the glass. I love mine..

Ambi-safety works nicely for me one-handed.

Nice looking rifle, I actually think the MMG looks good on it. I usually am not a fan of it's aesthetics, but it melds with the XCR nice.

How do you like the Scope? I hear such varying opinions on it.

Same set up my XCR was born with. I changed it to a BB and pistol grip due to lack of high caps. When breaking it in use Fiocchi, PMC bronze, or American eagle. I've had no issues with the rifle, you'll love it.

Nice looking build bud, congrats!
Have you tried reloading with it yet? I always have to tuck it into my chest for leverage. Other than that, I hardly notice that it's not a pistol grip.

Like I said -- This is just a loaner XCR. DS Arms SA-58 coming with stripper clip guide upper and Pistol grip next week. We'll see which works out better at the range...

The MMG will feel weird the first two or so mags....you'll be a little preoccupied about where to place your thumb. But you'll get use to it and it will totally feel comfortable. Just relax and enjoy.

I've been looking at an XCR myself....looking forward to a range report.

I just built my first AR, I havn't shot any rifle with a PG before so I figured I'd go the MMG because I wouldn't know if I was missing anything or not :-)
