Arrow 22LR Tactical / Precision Rifle Match - 080908

22LR Tactical / Precision Rifle Match
August 9, 2008.

A Place to Shoot in Saugus, CA will be having their next 22LR Tactical / Precision Rifle Match on Saturday, August 9, 2008. This will be a monthly match at A Place to Shoot and will be held on the 2nd Sat of the month. Registration will begin at 0700 and the first stage will begin at 0730. The match should run until approximately 1300.

This match is for 22LR only and is open to bolt action and well as semi auto rifles. Rifles should be equipped with optics (some targets are as small as 1/2) and capable of shooting 1 or less at 50 yards. Targets will range in size from 1/2 to 6 or more and will be a combination of paper, reactive and steel. Ranges will vary from 25 yards to 200 yards. As with our initial match, all competitors will be given an opportunity to sight in their weapons from 25 yards through 100 yards before the actual match begins. Shooters should plan on a minimum of 100 rounds.

The fee for the match will be $25.00 for early registration, $30.00 for match day walk-ons. Plaques will for awarded to the top three finishers. This is limited to 20 competitors so pre-registration is suggested. As a note with the publicity generated by the 6mmbr article, I would suggest notifying me of your interest sooner rather than later as we already have several signed up for this match. If you are interested in registering or have any questions either PM me through this forum or email me directly at billerwin@msn.com.

I'd love to but I leave for Namibia on the 14th so there's no way I could do this one.

I'll be there too.

Pressure is on NovaDesigns after his incredible performance last 22LR Match.

Strong was the force with him last month!

Not surprising I've had a lot of response regarding this match. At present I have six spots remaining so if you're interested and not already contacted me do so promptly.

As a note we are presently set at a cap of 20 shooters, however, if the interest is strong enough I may up the cap to a total 30 max to accomodate all interested. That said though don't delay in getting in as the operative word for now is "may".

Put me down as potentially interested.
I just need to get a stock and barrel for my 10-22...

I have the lock and the lock even has a nice nikon mil-dot buckmasters scope on it.
I just don't think it's accurate enough with the standard barrel and stock.
I was rolling around empty 12ga shotshells at 85yds with it thursday, but only about a 20% hit ratio.

Is there anywhere local around the San Fernando Valley or Santa Clarita Valley that I can get my hands on a box of .22lr Wolf Match Ammo or .22lr SK Standard Plus? Turners is out.

I haven't been able to find Wolf or SK locally. Ordered some SK from Championshooters and it is backordered atleast to the end of the month. Might have to just get the $10 a box stuff eley/lapua(20 cents per round for .22LR)

eley is too expensive for $10/ box.

midway has sk standard plus in stock for $4.49/box at dealer's pricing.

The bricks of SK standard plus were back ordered when I checked so I just ended up ordering a brick of Wolf Match Extra instead.

Thumbs up UPDATE

OK I presently have 20 shooters on the list for the 22LR match on 0809 with more interested. As I had stated before if this occurred I would consider upping the max to 30 which I decided to do.

At present I have approx 8 slots left - once those are spoken for we will be max'd.

Also my wife decided y'all need to be fed after the match so we will be provideing grub for all after the match - no fee for the grub. Looks like the table fare will probably be BBQ chicken ribs etc.

So come prepared to shoot and eat!

It's looking like I will miss this one due to shooting the centerfire match in Sacramento that weekend.

Hey, I missed everyone at ASR weekend before last--even though I was there for 6 hours, but I'll be back there on Saturday practicing if anyone wants to join me.

Well, as you are shooting the 22 match next weekend, you will have a leg-up on me by the time I get to shoot one.
Just because my gun is accurate, that don't mean I can shoot...

Getting ready for NorCal is more important than 22's right now.

You really better get to work...
Go to Sac with us next weekend instead of shooting 22's.
That gives you like 7 days to get ammo loaded.
