Totally down for it! I'm heading that way in Dec, but attending some basic stuff with family members. I am going to do a day of Private HCMP on Friday Dec 15 if you are interested in joining me for that day!

I might head out Nov 13 for the 4 day, and use the private day to polish up the skills. Not sure yet.

I want to attend the Nov class. I still haven't scheduled any privates yet, but maybe I can set something up around the Nov HCMP. If I do, you're welcome to join me.

About 50% of the 2&4-day classes starting this past Friday were from CA.

How much trouble are you guys having booking private training. Any issue with getting two days back to back?

Default Private training Schedule?

How much trouble are you guys having booking private training. Any issue getting two days back to back?

I passed the first 50 times it was offered, but might pull the trigger this time. Not enough schedule options for any of the advanced classes for my schedule.

Any info welcome.

You can book up to four days in a row. You'll need to be a bit flexible with your schedule. Book further out for a better chance at dates that fit your schedule.

The offer is the normal stuff he does (credits, certs, and so forth). The cost is 1995 for member only. If you want to add the ability to bring people with you when you train, then you add another 1k to the price.

If I wasn't on the East Coast I would probably take the 1995 deal for the private training but right now Diamond works well.

It's Official, Phase 3 Ranges are OPEN!

well, sort of...

Yesterday was the first day they were used but only two of them are fully operational. (Ranges 25 & 26 or 26&27, I forget the new number schemes)
The rest of the ranges out there are coming along rather quickly with more shade structures being built this week. It's looking like all those ranges could be open by early next year. *crossing fingers*

I'll try and take some pictures tomorrow when I'm driving back there.

OK, I'm not a member but I did get to go last weekend (11/10-11/13) for the 4-day defensive pistol. WOW!!! Thanks to my wifes boss, she and I BOTH got to do the 4-day defensive pistol course and I can't believe how much we learned! Yes, we didn't do the greatest on the final test but we still left with so much more knowledge and skill under our belts than we could have imagined. We are both looking forward to going back very soon. We spent the first 2 days at range 12 and then the remaining two days at range 21. The facility is HUGE.

It looks as if my wife and I will possibly be getting memberships through her boss which would be outstanding. Now only if I could get a membership for my son as well, then we would be a family of safely trained people since he loves range time as well!

I was there also last weekend on Range 3 and 14. We had 11 DG out of 34 in 4 day Handgun and 14 Graduate. So total of 25 of 34 got G or DG.

We even had a couple of 17 year old kids that shot the test 6 points down and cleaned all the malfunctions, but werenít wearing concealment. Amazing job for their first class!

Thinking about going back 12/15 for Skill Builder. Anyone up for it?

I've been using RMRs at FS for 4 or 5 years. You might get some odd comments about 'race guns', but that seems to be tapering off. Frankly, adding a 'combat optic' to a pistol slide isn't anywhere near as advantageous as a large field of view red dot on an open class USPSA gun.

No optical sights of any kind are allowed to qualify for an official score on any of the Masters tests. You can still use them, but you get an automatic DQ.

Also, a combat optic doesn't help too much for static target shooting. It doesn't become advantageous until you are shooting at multiple targets.

Thanks! I guess, I'll stick to the old and reliable 3 dot system - AKA old iron sights.

heading out for a Skill Builder with some friends on the 29th, anyone else going to be there?
I'd really prefer to be shooting Adv. Tactical but neither of them has DG'd yet so Skill Builder it is.
