Default Custom Ruger Scout .223

All done! Its going to be a plinker and I am only going to use the irons so I decided to make an upper handguard. Took a few hours this morning along with a very heavily modified Garand rear hand guard and spring clip.
I was able to use the existing allen screws from the scope rail in case I ever decide to put the rail back on, then its only an allen wrench away. What do you think? Oh, and I put a longer flash suppressor on for that M14 look. The barrel is at 20" now.

I want one in .308. With a flat on top for the rail.

Talking That looks sweet!

Great job! You should show Ruger what you did. Seriously. That's a sexy & practical modification to their design.

Where'd you get the long flash hider? Looks like something from MFI AP (http://mfiap.com/i-11649019-mfi-hk-g...-x-28-tpi.html)... --1911ShooterPhil

.
I agree with Phil. Very nicely done chunk of laminate, there.

I think the flash hider kinda WAY too long, but that's just me. lol. I'd love to see the radial port muzzle brake as found on the latest RGS version with the polymer stock.

You've accomplished a very tasty modification! sir. Again, well done!

:-)

The flash hider is meant to be long to emulate an M14
