Default $2,000 M59

Anyone going to pick up the long barreled SKS at Century?
http://www.centuryarms.biz/proddetai...882E-GI&cat=52

I'm guessing it is from the Samco lot like most of their C&R right now.

I've never seen one, which would make sense as apparently less than 100 ever made

Anyone here have one?

Definitely does not seem worth it to me. One it's Yugo. Yugo anything doesn't command same prices. Two it's not matching. Three I can buy 2 FN-49, a really nice original Garand, 4 Finns, or an original and matching K98k plus accessories and ammo for that price. Would rather spend $2k on any of those items.

Agreed!

I wonder if Classic Arms and these guys are not part of the same company!

They are both selling from the same lot of Samco stuff

Century bought the Samco lot, held some of it and sold a lot of it to Classic.

My guess is the recent craziness in prices at Classic has to do with how much they paid for the Samco stuff they bought from Century.

The non Samco stuff at Classic like the M39s and Yugo SKS were priced in line, pretty much with normal market. The $500 VZ 52, Enfields and such that looks like it came from Samco is the stuff that is way over priced

Just my 2 cents anyway

Dans ammo sold a few of the long barrel M59's about 18 months ago for $600 each I believe. 2k is waaay too much for a Yugo.

I don't think it's Century. It's the ones at Classic trying to maximize profits. Century paid less than .10 on the dollar.

Century's original first few lots were a lot more reasonable in price, I think once they saw Classic making money hand over fist is when they upped their prices. I mean who wouldn't, after all its a WAR EAGLE economy.

Wow I would have picked one up at $600 easy if it is true that less than 100 were made

Posted over on SKS boards as well and guy over there said he bought one too for $2,000

Maybe I'll get this one and pair it up with a $4,300 Nork

There has been one relisted multiple times on GB for $2500. A wealthy niche buyer would probably buy it, along with the Farmer's Friend, the Hunter, and a dozen other sub-variants.

Although to be fair, these Yugos are not aftermarket Norinco put-togethers.

Just picked this up this M59 today from my FFL/LGS. Bet you haven't seen a "B" series serial before?
Bought it on Gunbroker for $525.00, took 4 months to get the FFL
stuff straightened out.

I didn't about the Norwegian M59 and M67. Now I want one to go with my Finnish M/28-57 and M/28-76. Also fits with my Norwegian K98k. Thank you for posting.
