Good Outdoor Ranges
Hey! I'm new to CalGuns and I'm looking for a good outdoor range. Anyone have suggestions for me? Thanks

Sounds like you are in SoCal so Burro Canyon and Angeles Shooting Range.
Might depend on what you are shooting. Angeles has more variety and IIRC longer distances. (Check their websites.)

Yes! I am in Southern California area. I will have to check these ranges out. What are your thoughts on benefits of outdoor vs. indoor? I've only shot at indoor ranges so far...

Lytle Creek Firing Line has my vote.
I took 14 Boy Scouts last weekend and we could not have had a better experience. The staff is great. They have rules, they enforce the rules, and then enforcing don't treat you in a manner as if you just murdered thier family. Firm, polite, and they give reasons why a certain rule needs to be observed. Price is right, and if you go on your birthday the range fee is waived. I mostly used the shotgun range as the rifle range fluctuated from busy to not so busy. The rifle range got a little crazy when i had other shooters hitting my target...but that is a 1st world problem. Overall a great place, good price, and great staff. I'll be returning often.
