This is why i reload my own ammo, only i am to blame. And people think that factory ammo is always 100% safe.

Scary! I was just about to order some Fiocchi 45 because the price is right. But I thought Fiocchi was producing a lot of their ammunition in the US? I know the Magtech is produced in Brazil.

I just ordered 158gr 9mm Fiocchi. Good thing I didn't get the 115gr one, I was considering it (it was cheap, but I prefer to shoot the same kinds of ammo, and I mostly shoot WWB 115gr and AE 115gr).

What are you going to use the 158gr in? I considered ordering a batch for a pistol caliber carbine, but I'm curious if I can also shoot it through a pistol. |

It should be quieter than other ammo, too, and if the difference is noticeable, I'll just need to track down some subsonic HPs for HD. Would be nice to keep as much hearing left as I can in case I ever have to use it, right? Also, I wonder if they go supersonic when shot out of a carbine? Well, I'll find out soon enough

Oh wow, I was freaking out when I saw this because I bought a fair amount of 115 grain, 9mm Fiocchi in the past year. Then I found out that this recall notice was posted in 2006! Gonna check my lot numbers when I get back but I'm guessing the ammo I bought is probably going to end up okay...

Hopefully you don't have any of the bad stuff, but they'll take care of you if you do. If you call them, they might send you a UPS label for shipping them back. Last edited by bumpo628; 01-09-2011 at 10:36 AM.. |
