Hey all, I turn 23 in a few days. I thought I was a bit young to be getting into but it seems like not! I'll be getting my first firearm ever tomorrow actually! A AR-15 Stag/Bushmaster. (lower and upper receiver respectively). I've done a small bit of research but am still eager to learn more in order to take care of the rifle well while respecting the rifle and having fun at the range.

Also I tend to have a hard time consistently posting and what not on forums in general so I'll try to chime in whenever I can/remember to!

18. Got into guns because they are awesome. Started out with a pellet gun that my great uncle let me shoot. Good stuff. Watching Clint Eastwood westerns when I was younger helped brainwash me.

Turning 23 in October. I've been hunting and shooting since I can remember. My dad wasn't around much so guess who taught me to shoot? My mom! I have my old Ruger 10\22 ready for my son, who's only 2 but as soon as he can hold it up he'll be coming out to the range with me. Can't wait!

im 22

i had been interested in guns since i was probably 10. got an air rifle when i was 18 and started buying guns at 21.

i had never had any support with guns. i now own about 9 now and that number is rising.
people cant say anything to you when its your money. haha and whats cool is that my father has warmed up to me having guns and he likes to come in and watch me clean my rifle and see how they work. still trying to get him to come shooting. my mother....she hates em haha

I'll be 20 until next may, when I lose all control and buy way too many "1st" pistols. Until then I'll stick with my bolt gun.

Started off in Nevada with a ruger 10/22 and many banana clips...the rest is a blur because I was real young. I just bought my 2nd firearm, a bolt 700 to master. I'll be around.

25, a bunch of guys I ride with (motorcycles, not the same one you homo's) have AR's. Had to have one. Funny, cause all of my childhood friends also have rifles, pistols, shotguns, but only the AR brought out the true mall ninja in me.

Turned 19 several months ago, i've been fascinated with firearms since my dad first took me shooting with my grandpa's .22 when I was 16.

Turned 18, joined the NRA, and bought a Marlin 795 .22 for $120 at Big 5. Got my mom to not just tolerate firearms, but also to shoot them--and enjoy it. She wants a Kahr .380 now haha

Purchased 2nd firearm last week, a Yugo 59/66, and am waiting for the chance to pick it up. Sadly, my carefree life as a non-collector was tragically cut short when I held the thing, and realized I want to own all things old, dirty, and Eastern Bloc

Hard to do on a student's salary (or lack thereof), but I am willing to go without food...

If you ever go to the Crossroads of the West gunshow during xmas/easter/summer, you may find me. Look for the youngish guy asking everyone with a Mosin Nagant the same stupid questions about receiver shape and bayonet-related accuracy over and over again...

21, just bought my first gun, a Smith & Wesson M&P for learning how to shoot with and later for Police Academy / duty weapon. Just need to finish up school and then applying to PD's...which got me interested in guns. LE and Military both actually got me interested. Went shooting for the first time a little while back and loved it and now I want to learn as much as possible about guns and get better at shooting.

I am 21 now.

I've been around guns my whole life. The first I shot was at 12, and was my uncle's 9mm. That same day I shot my father's Colt .45 and .357 magnum revolver. For my 21st birthday, my father thought it'd be a good idea to let me have his .45 and .357 so I was a happy camper. I just recently purchased my first firearm though and it is a Springfield Armory XD-9. I pick it up in 2 days so I'm stoked!

19 now.

Got into guns at 16?...thus far I've only been able to use my neighbor's guns when he would go to the shooting range. Just got a '78 Ruger mini-14 hand-me-down as an early Christmas present!

Gosh darn college tuition is draining me of every last buck I make from work so I can't afford an AR. Gotta scrimp and save for another year or so...

Well I am 15 right now.

I have been interested in firearms for as long as I remember. I received my first bb gun as a present from my older brother when I was 8 and that just set me off. As of now I shoot a Mossberg 590 12 gauge, a FNP-40 with TLR-1 attached, Remington 700 with Bushnell optic, and a Ruger 10/22 just for fun. I am in the process of building my first AR platform and so far have a Stag Lower, Magpul MOE grip and CTR stock. Just waiting on the bushmaster upper.

Turned 20 not long ago.
Got into guns because my dad took me shooting with him at Target Master's a couple times (using their rentals) although he has never been interested in owning a gun. I've been hooked ever since. Bought my first rifle at 18 and I now have a couple different long guns.

I'm 21. Been into guns for a large part of my life. Parents never were. Now that I am building, buying and shooting guns, I've got the rest of my family into it as well.

turning the dreaded 25 in 4 weeks, bought my first gun when i was 18 and haven't stopped yet, here they are in order. My dads not really into guns so all of these i purchased with my own money. Got into it for the variety and each guns a different experience, the challenge of being a good marksman, mainly just like to build things and modify existing quality weapons.
1. Benelli nova tactical
2. Remington 870 (with some goodies)
3. Remington 700 .308 20"bbl
4. Ca legal AR piston carbine i built from the ground-up (thanks to AGI and Riflegear)
5. glock 22 (with personality)
6. RIA mil-spec gov. 1911 (although its mostly fusion and Wilson combat now)
7. Sig 2022

next thing is building a parts kit AK to my liking (im picky and have a vision of what i want)

I'm 18 as of last june. I currently own 5 firearms already and many to come. Between my stang and firearms there is always money to be spent. The problem is figuring out which one to spend it one. Decided to buy an AR over new suspension for the car! Got into guns when I was 6, thanks to my uncle, shot my first .22. Then at age 14, my dad bought me my first gun, a Taurus pump action .22 for my 8th grade graduation. Shot M4's and AK's in my teens because my uncle was and still is in the Army. The rest of my guns were purchased when I turned 18 with my own money in order.
1. Saiga 7.62
2. 1943 Mosin Nagant
3. Del-Ton AR-15 upper on CMMG lower
4. 1963 Winchester 1200

Grew up in the bay area with gun-phobic parents. Got into guns through friends and whatnot. Picking up a savage .22 soon as a cheap way to learn and then I'll be buying a Springfield 1911. I have one friend in particular who is disturbingly well educated on guns so my knowledge about them has increased exponentially in the last couple years. Also worthy to note that I'm a moderate democrat. I'm just one big walking contradiction haha.

21 in 12 days been around guns all my life. When i was 6 i got my first pellet rifle and then til about 10 it was all about bb and pellet guns and showing cola cans who's boss. After that came the archery obsession and that lasted a few years til i got very proficient at it. My older brother has owned a massive collection of pistols/rifles as far as i can remember so since childhood I've improved my skill and have looked forward to the day i turn 21 with anticipation. Current collection is ruger 10/22 tacticool style and marlin 795 with dragunov stock. Already paid my brother for 3 pistols (beretta 96, beretta 950 jetfire and beretta 950 minx) and will be going to sportsmans on my birthday to register it to ME tough as it is in california, life without guns is no life at all

Hey all, I don't usually hang out in this section but thought I would post here. I'm originally from Sacramento, 19, attending CU Boulder and in Army ROTC. I started shooting at around 12 and my parents soon after signed me up for a junior rifle team to learn to basics of marksmanship. Now after a few years of working around firearms and owning more than my fair share at this age I try to spread some of my knowledge on here and have learned a ton. I helped out a calguns booth last year and wish I was still in CA to continue to. I strongly suggest volunteering at one if you're very knowledgable about laws, firearms and are comfortable with talking to a lot of people.
