Island View Calguns Monthly Shoot - New Option
Ok, guys, the next Calguns Day at Island View when Calgunners shoot for free is on Friday, May 27th. This is the Friday before Memorial Day weekend.
I'm thinking about bringing along a gun others might want to shoot as an added bonus for coming by. Things have been really slow on Friday nights and I'm getting lonely. So - for the next Calguns day I will consider bringing one of the guns listed in the poll and make it available for Calgunners to shoot. I will have a lane from 5 to 6 and if you come into the range and find me I'll let you shoot it. I'll even provide a couple of rounds on my dime. I will then have to man the Calguns table from 6 to 8. I will bring a gun if there is enough interest to shoot it. If I don't get much of a response I won't bother (or maybe I'll bring it and shoot it because I feel like it, who knows?). I'm interested in responses from people who are actually in a position to come shoot at Island View and might even show up. If you are in northern CA or out of state then your opinion, although very interesting, isn't relevant here. Please exercise your restraint that Calguns is not so famous for and do not vote.

I'd love to be there, but getting to Ventura from the Valley on a Friday evening is almost impossible unless I take the afternoon off. Will do my best for May.
How about having some kind of meet and greet inside and/or contest or something? I do feel as if no one is really talking to one another on the lanes, so I don't know who is Calguns and who isn't. |

Perhaps we all need to buy and wear CalGuns t-shirts to these things. Easy to ID. scifgunner sells them right there at the front door to IVE to make it easy...

Looks like the hand cannon is winning in the Poll so far...
True, folks aren't talking to each other much on or behind the firing line. Tough place to start a conversation. I'll be sure to wear my Calguns T-shirt and keep a look out.

Barrel length is 6". It has decent recoil but definitely not the worst I've encountered, I was pleasantly surprised when I first shot it. The compensator does a really good job of managing things.

Wen't yesterday and shot scifigunner's Hand Cannon! That thing was AWESOME! Never shot anything like it, my arm still hurts!
Also got to meet valleyM as well. Good times!
