SAM7SF Folder - Non-permanent lock for folding stock?

Trying to import a SAM7SF, but the minimum length requirement is causing issues. Does anyone know of a way to non-permanently pin the folding stock?

I have this rifle with the stock pinned somehow. Reach out to Audiophil he did my rifle, but I don't know how he did it.

I make a sleeve that slips over the folder catch and then install a cotter pin to hold it in place.
After that, the button can not be pressed or the latch unlocked to let the stock fold.

No holes are drilled so you can always remove the sleeve and go back to the original configuration.

If just needed to import and meet minimum length, just hose strap a metal extension (homedepot threaded rod) to the muzzle brake to get the legal length. After picking up the rifle, there are simple non damage ways to lock the stock.

Worked years ago, not sure of changes in California laws.

I don't have an Arsenal SAM7SF, but I think the folder button is similar to the other side folders. This is a quote of an old post of mine.

For Bulgarian or Russian sidefolders, I simplified a technique nicoroshi showed me.

Take a .45 brass case. Deprime the case, drill a hole in the primer well for the screw, cut the case down to 0.39" overall length.



Get a 6-32NC screw, at least 3/8" in length, thread the small hole in the folder release button with 6-32NC tap (the hole should already be the correct size for the tap):




Now the folder button cannot be depressed.

The law HAS changed.
You can still use a pink dildo, but it has to be permanently attached now.

Not to go off-topic, but I had my CA SAM7SF stock removed last year and it was such an ordeal. Sent it to an AK builder in TN (can't recall name) and they did a great job of removing the stock and welding a part so I could attach an AR buffer tube. Turned out great, but it was a major PITA.
