I was in Sportsmans Warehouse (Provo) today looking for primers, powder, and pills and they had none of that, so I walked by the gun counter and the young man behind the counter asked if he could help me. Whenever I am in a place that sells firearms I always ask if they have a P365 expecting a "no" since that is all I have heard for the last seven months. He says, why yes, but it is the more expensive SAS TacPac (three 10 round mags and a holster) for $625... SOLD.
I give my license, and Utah CCW, filled out the 4475 on a tablet and 5 minutes later he rang me up right at the gun counter and gave me the bag with the case in it and I walked out. I never understood how oppressed we were in CA until now. I'm looking forward to the day I can bring my suppressor home from the range/store, still an infringement but at least some day it will be on my SBR in my safe.

I prefer private party FTF transactions in the Starbucks parking lot. Cash and carry. F California.....

Well, go buy that suppressor because it will take 6 to 12 months for your tax stamp to go through so you might as well get that clock started. Then, as a further F-U to the PRK's gun laws...

The first gun I bought when I lived in Washington was a rifle. After the purchase process, he hands me my paperwork and as I'm folding it in half and putting my wallet in my pocket, he hands me the box and says "here ya go." Having come from Kali 10 days waiting periods, it was refreshing to walk out the same day with it.

Sut-
You can buy a suppressor all day long OTC. However, you can’t have it till the ATF says you can. And that is running close to a year, maybe a little less in some cases right now. 10day waits seem like no problem when it comes to buying NFA gear. |

When I purchase, does it go home with me and the ATF sends the paperwork along afterwards? Or, do I purchase and fill the forms out and take possession when ATF decrees it legit? Thanks. |

Purchase at store (i used the silencer shop kiosk for finger prints and info)
Fill forms (using kiosk) Store holds it until atf approves it once approved then do the 4473 to take possession Pretty much buy asap and start the wait sooner than later Using the ss shop kiosk is easy because additional purchases there's nothing to do but an electronic signature via email. |

My LGS carries NFA items and also has an indoor firing range. While I wait for my tax stamp, I can use my suppressor or FA gun all I want at their range. While I can't take my purchase home (until I get the tax stamp), at least it takes some pain out of the lengthy wait.

Hahaha, enjoy. My experience lasted a few months until I looked at stuff I bought that I would consider boring as a free stater. Gen4 G19, Jericho 941, generic AR pistols, etc. Some are still never been fired to this day.
Now the wait is a different kind of wait. It’s waiting for the newly introduced models you’ve only read about online. For me it’s the CZ TS2 Bronze, B&T SPC, Haenel C223, etc. It becomes a challenge to scour all the online forums to catch snippets of a hint when certain guns are about to be sold to the public. There’s another kind of wait that is a little bit more rewarding, but still not 100% predictable. Yes, the NFA game. The SBR game is fun, the prize goes to the guy with the shortest wait, and the pity goes to he whose wait rivals that of a CA BBRAW registration. UT is awesome. Congrats. Think before you vote. It’s easy to take the man out of California, but it’s hard to take California out of the man. .

For those of you that may be in the market for a suppressor I've heard that there is a company that takes all the work out of all the required paperwork etc.

I’ve read about them too, but a dealer with a SilencerShop kiosk is also super handy. Plus you can have SS generate complete fingerprint cards for $7.

Yeah, but Silencer Shop "enabled" dealers gouge you for a lot more than the local cops for prints. PD here charges $15 for all the copies you want.

Here’s how to make that cost $0 if you have a scanner and a photo editing software: https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/W...22594#i4922594
