If that was the case they wouldn't produce this without a threaded barrel for NY or make 10 round magazines at all. They like money.

I’ve been thinking, and it seems like swapping the charging handle to the left side is a good idea for us righties. Drop mag with left thumb, insert new mag left hand, and charge it left hand. No need to reach over the receiver. Thoughts?

Yup or places like Rifle Gear... you just ask them nice to keep the 17 rounder. Who needs a Ruger SR mag 10 rounds or otherwise? Everyone will be immediately installing the GLOCK mag insert.

When the CA version of the Vicker's G17 sold out I ordered the in-stock and significantly cheaper regular mag version and they pulled the mags for me.

Yeah, and the first time you watch the bolt slide out and hit the concrete floor of your garage you'll realize they aren't exactly take-down fruendly.

I’m gonna source the threaded barrel model and let the shop keep the mag. Easy stuff.

Absolutely yes!
The ability to fire the weapon while performing a magazine change (loaded chamber) to me is critical.

I should cause a huge price drop.. normally I would have been ALL OVER that PC9

But now I would rather wait for the take down with the Glock mags

Now, we will see if they eventually bring it out in .45ACP; that would be even better.

Looks like it will be a hoot to use during night shooting events. I like the built-in rail section; I showed one of their reps my mods to a few of their GSR's while over at Gunsite last year, they seemed to have interest.

Am I the only one thinking this might make a pretty handy home defense rifle? Attach a flashlight to it, fill it with 124 grain HSTs, and you’re set. With a little practice, anyone in the house could use it effectively.

It must be to tame the massive recoil of a 9mm blowback action

I think so as well. Optic, light, and HST and it’s an easy to use HD gun. Just make sure your angles are good as 9mm will go through walls like butter, much more so than .223. With the ergonomics and low recoil, you should be hitting what you’re aiming at anyways.

Buddy of mine sent me the link last night. I'd be interested in one, but not at $650! Maybe $450.

I’ve heard rumors that they will be in the low to mid 500s at most retailers.

Absolutely. It was one of the first things I thought of when I found out it was reversible.

They use electronic timers that work in one hundredth of a second increments. Every hundredth counts.

I'm also hoping they make an integrally suppressed barrel (I not in CA) like they do for the 10/22 takedown.

That's OK; I have plenty of magazines for both of my Ruger SR-1911's, and all the other 1911 clones as well.

Hopefully the folks who manufacture Glock's will finally realize the tremendous market they are missing out on, and start producing their own PCC's.

The PC Carbine is the rifle that Glock should have made itself... But thanks to Ruger, now I can see this PC Carbine to be my favorite Commiefornia-friendly all-around defense rifle.

P.S. I can also dream if the PC Carbine sells well (which I believe it will,) Ruger might offer it in .45 ACP (Glock 30 mags) one day.... Dear Ruger, please make it, and take my money!

...The version that I'd really like to see is a 9mm Ruger Charger that'll accommodate an AR spec pistol buffer tube and a Shockwave arm brace. Make the buffer tube a folder and there'd be no way Ruger wouldn't sell a zillion of them...

Notice the molded line that looks like it could be an adjustable cheek riser? But isn't?

i wonder if ruger is trying to get ahead of the marketing rush that comes with Shot Show in a few weeks. right now everyone is talking about this. if it was debuted during Shot Show, it would probably be swimming in a sea of new products being shown and wouldn't be getting the attention it is getting right now.

either way, i hope more companies release simple PCCs. while the evo's, mpx, etc are nice, this ruger pcc is just as nice with the simplicity of it. (added bonus of us in CA being able to buy it without having to convert it too)

i am sold on this Ruger, and will pick this up so i can shoot in the PCC class in USPSA. and being glock mag compatible is the big cherry on top.

Absolutely will buy it.
Wonder if they'll ever come out with 10mm in SS?
That would be the holy grail for me.
