Well I can tell you that this same show was scheduled for over a month ago. I made the 2+ hours trip the nite before, got up the next morning and went to the convention center.
No show, no signs about why there was no show, nothing. Many folks like me milling about wondering what the heck happened. I should mention that I also checked the website the night before and there was also no mention of a cancellation. My son lives in Fresno so was not a total waste.....but I'll not go to one of their shows again. |

Just heard about this show myself. www.RockyMountainGunShow.com is their site.
This is a new show to the Fresno area to my knowledge, and isn't the same as the one at the fairgrounds, so I may check it out.

If this is the same show that comes to the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada then I've been there before. At that venue in Vegas, it is a smaller venue which is why it is held in a large conference room at that hotel. In comparison to Crossroads of the West, I would rate it as not as good, however it is acceptable for a day of being around like minded people and looking at guns. I believe Miwall was at the show that I went to a while ago, but there was not a lot at the time. Can't say much for it being in Fresno as I live down in So. Cal but I do remember the show being a bit small but entertaining none the less.

I have been to a few of the shows in Fresno at the fairgrounds and they suck. No really good deals. about the only thing I have heard of that is a positive is someone there sells ammo really cheap, but you you need to get there right when they open, I heard the guy sells out pretty quick.
I have been disapointed everytime I went. I found gun powder there that was more expensive than I could get on line for. Personally I feel unless a business is going to go there to give some awesome deals, dont even show up, its an embarrasement. business owners should take the slow or non moving products and get rid of them at a real low price to make going to the show worth it. I live 30 miles south of Fresno and I will go to the cow palace before I go to another gun show in Fresno.

I think I am going to head up (I live in Fresno so no waste of a trip if it sucks)
This isnt the same group so I am hoping, albeit naively, that it will be better than the ones held at the fairgrounds. At least Ill get some good jerky.

I went. Same ol same ol. No reloading gear. Lots of bags. Some guns but nothing better than any local gun shop and prices were...well not worth the price of admission.
