It was a very fun shoot! Allied beat Axis by 2 shots, a win is win! Well done guys.

Turnout was a little low but we had a ton of fun. Lots of great people, great C&Rs and a generally great time. It was nice to see Japanese rifles hitting the range in greater numbers, Jimja brought a lot of cool scoped C&Rs, other stuff like G41 , C96 broomhandles and K43 etc etc. We absolutely destroyed some AR500 steel plates.

I'm very pleased that my Maxim ran near perfectly, one stoppage due to a freak belt snag. 300-350 rounds through it today on its first post build range outing. I posted a thread showing the build highlights in the gunsmithing sub forum here:

renewed my membership and the wind was not a factor. had a nice conversation with the fellow from Russia. No water in the creek bed. Got my 1938 TULA mosin 91 30 on target . the little competition was fun.

The shoot was a blast, congrats to the Allied team, we won the war again!

At the next shoot, we can do this again and add a small Axis vs Allied pistol competition!

If you've never been out to one of these shoots, it's a ton of fun, try to make it to the next one, January 14th

What happened to all the shooters that used to come with one C&R with not much value. Used to be a lot of K 98s, mosins, and others. I think pictures of racks full of high end C&Rs scared them away. Nobody intentionally snubbed them quite the opposite but maybe they feel that way. We need to see and shoot beater ,worthless C&Rs also

I was shooting a ragged $150 Type 53! I love the old beaters.

Next shoot I'll bring out my most ragged guns. I think they're a little more fun anyways.
