Wow, what an improvement. If I ever get blessed with a HP carbine, I'd get the ATI stock that makes it look like a Beretta CX4

I've heard that too, how do you like the new trigger on your 995ts?

That thing is sweet. Might have to buy one due to being so cheap and acually being a decent gun.

Almost every vendor at the AZ gun show had these carbines

I treat this gun like crap and it's cleaning is froglube down the barrel, brush, few patches and then one lubed cloth down the pipe for storage and done. so i have no idea what a more harsh cleaner would do to the Krylon, sorry.

yeah, it didn't take long too, that pic was taken after about 400 rounds and a 5 day camping trip. o well though i said it's a basher toy and guns should be dirty. But when i have to repaint i'll go a shade darker or it could be the clear coat picking up the dirt?

A longer profile does look more balanced. Anyone make a compensator/FH for it?

Yeah its ugly IMHO tho. The more I look at these the more I want. I can't afford a 1k 9mm AR right now so saving for this is more within my reach.

Ugly.

I'd definatly kick it out of bed.

It's not like the moped or fat girl thing either. Wouldn't touch it if it was the last gun on earth.

the little thing still surprises me, i took her to AZ last weekend and i was able to land shots on an 18 inch plate at 155 yards. I knew it could do 100 easy and 125 once in a blue moon, but to see it ping that plate left me shocked.

enjoy your two new kids, did you get 9's 40's or 45's?

I've always been a fan of the hi-point carbine. And yours looks rad. But I never understood why not just go featureless.

since the only "evil" feature on the 995ts is the pistol grip, all you would need to go featureless is a kydex grup wrap of sorts.

Thanks Morf,
I've seen that solution on AR sites. Does this disable the grip feature enough
to satisfy our "dear leaders" in Sac????
BTW, you lucky stiff; youre moving to a FREE state! I gotta get outa this place! LOVE YOUR POLKA DOTTED CAR IN THE BACKGROUND

That dream was ended (february 13th @5:01AM) the week i was scheduled to move, we were moving to AZ to help my dad who was undergoing treatment, he passed. Although i did spend a month or so out there packing up his stuff. happy he got to live his last year in a free state.

As for the Kydex
Quote:
The Pistol Grip Defined
While the other semiauto ban states also have a restriction on the pistol grip, they have no definition of what a pistol grip is. It's left up to a jury. In California the situation is somewhat better.
CA 11 CCR 5469(d) says "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" means a grip that allows for a pistol style grasp in which the web of the trigger hand (between the thumb and index finger) can be placed below the top of the exposed portion of the trigger while firing.
Stolen for exilemachine.com

So the wrap would have to keep the web of your hand above the action/ trigger from my understanding.
