Gorgeous! I suggest using one of them surplus USGI green wool blanket so the background is not a bright as a white sheet and it makes the details of your rifles stand out. Also take another shot from the other side.

PS the laminated M-44 and the PU are for sale on market place. i need to sell one to fund my AIM PU sniper am buying. both are in nice cond and good shooters.

i want to thank the calguners that helped me with the info on how to post. the phot bucket did not work for me but the last idea posted did work. for some reason i was not able to put all the pics in one posting. o well better than nothing.

Meager? Looks like a nice collection. Even if I add my AR-15 to my 5 C&R rifles, you still have more. But I'm satisfied with my collection - a Finn M39 Mosin, a service grade Springfield Garand, and 3 Mausers - a Swede M38, an Israeli-reworked Czech K98k, and a Russian captured German K98k. All have very good or better bores and shoot great.

I don't think a large collection is necessary to be happy.

Regards,
Crunch

no shame in a few rifles as long as you like them. I started out with "just" a 52 tula sks and now have over 20 mil-surp rifles. we're not all made of money or time, and I have neither so through luck, patience, and occasionally, good timing I've built up a decent collection of stuff. sometimes it takes sacrifice, but eventually you'll probably get everything you want. nice rifles all, by the way. the danger is that these damn things become addictive. i'm soon buying 2 more carcanos to add to the 4 I already have somewhere along the way, things got out of hand...

a gun addiction is owing a friend 372 bucks for a ammo purchase and instead of giving him the 300 i have right now i am going to buy a PU sniper and pay him a little later. is that like buying drugs on credit ? i think so.

Notabiker posted pics!

Nice collection. Mosins and SKS will survive apocalypse, ice age, global warming, and locust hordes as well. An SKS, a clean Mosin, and a nice Mauser are the cornerstones of any milsurp collection. (Sorry, I'm not interested in American C&R's, nor can I afford ammo for them).

for some reason the simple, dependable nature of commie rifles appeals to me. i mean look at a M1 trigger and look at a mosin trigger. they both go boom. if my life depended on 1 shot a mosin would be that rifle to take and go boom.

I was watching the National Geographic show Life Below Zero about people living in the Alaska wilderness (substinence living) where the one 29 year old living by himself had his scoped AR-15 malfunction because (as he claimed) of the extreme cold - 35 below.

The other group of people are a native Alaskan family where the wife does the hunting... She uses c&r Mosins with iron sights and never experiences mechanical issues. Made to be reliable in those climate extremes along time ago.
