I should be in this year with the wife and a couple of friends. I've always wanted to attend this shoot and this will be my first Calguns event.

I had a heck of a time trying to find the ammo group buy for this event. Here's the link if anyone else is looking for it. Link

Also, what do people do for toilet facilities out there?

And zombies, or hands, coming through windows/walls/doors/ or ground, but not between her legs.

If this design is what the majority approves, not sure if I want to be involved.

Heads up to all fathers/brothers : leave your young daughters at home.

Honestly, the design could be dramatically improved, compared to last year, and significantly more appropriate.

My girlfriend and 7-year old think the shirt rocks. If you're really looking for something hard enough, you'll find it.

About the shirt....when I first looked at it, I thought, man, this thing is awesome. A school girl with an AK, looking like she is ready to kill some zombies!! What is color then that?!!?

Then...I looked a little closer, and saw the hand...then I thought, man, this thing is awesome. A school girl with an AK, looking like she is ready to kill some zombies, with a zombie coming out of the ground to try and grab her legs....

The first 14 thoughts in my head were not sexual. I asked my GF about it, and she asked for one in Small. I showed my 7 year old the picture this morning, and her response was....is this me? I laughed.

MB3, what would be more appealing for you. Honestly, if the majority doesn't like it, I am sure Chuck will be glad to photoshop something else together. Obviously, he doesn't make money, if people don't buy them.

Can I get some chatter on the shirts please, I am really interested:

Do you like the shirt?
Does the hand bother do?
Less guns?
Does it bother you that it's a girl and not another zombie?!?

Super Secret Zombie Shoot. Majority of which are grown men. Little girl in a school girl uniform. Please bring to my attention where the relevance is.... Like I said, I truly believe that chuk0 can significantly create a better design. To each his own....

Change the outfit at least. Last years design was on the money. How did we go from a "cool" zombie with cross hairs on em' to a school girl with a zombie hand reaching between the legs.

The design gave me the same immediate feeling a couple scenes from the Kick @$5 movie did when the little girl, or Hit Girl, said some things I don't want to hear little girls saying, if you can recall those specific scenes.

Again to each his own and obviously majority will rule on this one.

MB3, I saw the movie, and I thought it was a cool movie. I don't recall what she said that was inappropriate. I am genuinely interested to see what people think about it.
I don't know what Chuck was thinking when he put this together (you know those artsy creative guys) but the movie Kick *** did come to mind.

I know Chuck spends hours on these designs, I don't know it it's just as easy as "changing the outfit."

In your opinion, what would you rather see her wear?

Oh, and I think the relevance to this shoot was none...like I said, I have no idea what is going on in Chucks artsy brain....besides a Monkey with Cymbols smashing together of course..

As chknlyps2 put it shes not a kid, shes an adult dressed in the uniform.
Do you let your daughter dye white hi-lights in her hair? I don't think so especailly since schools kick kids out for that kind of thing now adays

As yugo said the hand is in front of her.

Quote:

Anything else you want done? Because I'm sure he could draw exactly that and you would just find another issue with it. As a fellow artist I find it ridiculous that you are being so demanding MB3 for something that is volunteer.

This is a drawing not a doll. Do you realize he will have to pretty much start over to do that?

It's one thing to be demanding but its a whole other issue to start a mini boycott because you are upset about the shirt...

The one thing I agree with you about is I don't exactly see the tie in to a desert shoot. I showed it to my girlfriend she likes it and didn't see what you saw but she agrees it doesn't have a tie in.

But if that's what Chuck0matic chose to draw I will respect him as an artist volunteering his time and skills.

I don't understand why everyone is trying to make this event fit exactly their wants. First there was the run and gunners, then the long distance range and now this. Can't we all just have fun with the event without changing it?

Andrew:
Do you like the shirt? Yes.
Does the hand bother do? No.
Less guns? Na more the better
Does it bother you that it's a girl and not another zombie?!?
Again I hate to tell another artist what to do but maybe to make the hand people happy maybe there could be zombies dead at her feet instead?
More zombies are always good. Oh and Andrew's clanging monkey somewhere in the mix would be epic

It is not "grasping under the little girl's dress" it is clearly in front of her, like she ain't done fighting them off just yet. But if it is such a big deal I can easily remove it, maybe throw a few zombs chasing her down in the BG.

I think if people are getting their panties in a bunch over the hand, maybe move it to the side so it looks like it's grabbing her ankle.

I was extremely protective of my sister and am protective of my 14 year old niece and I don't have any problems with the design. It's not kiddie porn, 456, relax.

Move the hand to the side, grabbing for an ankle? Just a thought. I think it's pretty bad-assed either way!

So the cheapest quality (non-reload, and non-50's surplus) .50 BMG I've found is 3.70/round at Wideners. If anybody has any links to something cheaper post it up.
Plan on ordering this weekend if nothing better is found, and that will be the pass through cost......

Great assumption fella.... And the definition of volunteer includes the word free . Obviously the shirts are being sold for a profit....

This is a drawing not a doll. Do you realize he will have to pretty much start over to do that?

I have a few buddies that could draw up an excellent representation of this outing within a couple hours, ready to be screen printed. Actually one is my cousin. As an "artist" you should be aware of the flexibility with drawings.

No I don't remember what she said but clearly, you do. If you have these deep seated issues then you need to work on them. Don't project them onto all of us.

Projecting is the exact action you just made with that statement. Assuming I have issues because of my opinion on a completely irrelevant design... Maybe I'm projecting by saying you have issues by taking my opinion on such a minor issue so personal.

It's one thing to be demanding but its a whole other issue to start a mini boycott because you are upset about the shirt...

Demanding? Simple suggestions/opinion man... Take whatever is up your arse and toss it. The only reason I am even writing these comments are because of sensitive losers like you. Stop complaining about like a school girl and grow up.

As do I. Simply stating my asked for opinion doesn't warrant stupid personal comments. If chuck0 does or doesn't change it, great...He's the artist himself and isn't taking offense or making kindergarten comments. It's called constructive criticism.

I don't understand why everyone is trying to make this event fit exactly their wants. First there was the run and gunners, then the long distance range and now this. Can't we all just have fun with the event without changing it?

The event will be a blast no matter what, whether you or I attend, and so on. The only reason I even decided to comment on the design was because I felt it is irrelevant. The "changing of things" started there. Its a freaking bunch of dudes goin out to shoot in the name of a Zombie Shoot. Honestly, I never expected such a backlash or me wasting time out of my day to have an "internet dispute". That's the ridiculous part...

Andrew:
Do you like the shirt? Yes.

I'm done with this bs.... Wasted my time enough.... Thanks for consideration of alterations to the design chuck0. I'll be checking to see what/if any changes are made. Again I apologize to all those who got butt hurt by my opinions. Take care HOOYAH!

Plan on ordering this weekend if nothing better is found, and that will be the pass through cost......
I'm working on it, thanks for the info, I'll see what we can do.

Interesting feedback and fellow members participation..... Thank you.

To be honest ....not what I was hoping to have as a memento for our shoot (is this the best we can do????).

I'm still waiting and eager to see the rest of our fellow members designs/artworks.

Yes ....we do have several members working in this concept as we speak..... please do not place any orders till the final design has been approved by the majority of the shoot attendees.

Note... the shirt design must be user friendly and family oriented at all times.

PS. We all hate zombies........!!!!!!

That being said,..... Carry on.

I'd like to go. Just need the details.

Is the meet up taking place at one of the Del Tacos in Barstow and at what time.

I will be able to bring some pop up chairs, pop up shade, folding tables, cooler, snack foods, meat, water, soda, and plenty of guns.

Last year we have a projector linked to a lap top computer and we used Andrew's motorhome side panels as a projection screen. Mr. Yugo saved the night by fixing the audio issues.

It'll be awesome to watch a zombie movie by the campfires out in the middle of nowhere again.

That being said....... any ideas? any equipment volunteers???
I have a projector that I use with my ps3 I'd be willing to drag out as long as we can keep the sand out of it. I just don't have a proper sound setup, we can use my ps3 or a laptop to play the movies.

I've always wanted to shoot at one!
I'm working on two right now, hopefully I'll have all of the bugs worked out and have a "few" "demonstration" models. We'll see.

sounds awesome! Apparently the Action Target one is not that difficult to make. I was even going to try to make one. All I need is hardened steel, a plasma cutter, and decent welding skills (well, any welding skills actually) :s
