Default Renewal jitters

I'm up for renewal again in Orange county (2nd time) and once again a little stress creeps in.
I like the new on line application process. smooth and easy with one exception.
The one area that I struggle with is the section to list your previous law contact.
Drug offences and the like. Growing up in the 70's into the early 80's I have kind of a colorful past involving drugs and the petty crime that goes along with it. It has not been a problem yet getting a permit as I am long retired from that life but it still makes me nervous having to list this stuff every time I renew.
Don't they already know my past from my previous applications?
I wish they would ask to just list any problems in the last 30 years or something to that effect.
Any one else face the same problem?

No. Lol
If you listed it before and got one issued, don’t worry about it. Go smoke a joint and mellow out Cheech.

.....in Sacramento County..........DO NOT.........let anyone know that you currently smoke, or have a med card for it. it may be legal in the state, but still a FED violation. you will immediately be revoked.

When I do my renewal, I just put down "2004 arrest, disclosed during initial application". That seemed to work just fine.
Edit: I am in Sac county

Disclose the same thing you did on your initial app, wasn't a problem then right? Years have passed... you'll be fine.

I asked on my last renewal and my agency said "only list things that happened since you got your last renewal". They have a record on you and they review everything from your previous renewals so they only want new stuff OR things you forgot in previous applications. Makes sense I guess...

For goodness sake grow up OP. You are not in grade school are you??? Quite honestly you sound like a child. If you have already been issued a CCW twice why would you think you won't get it renewed again?

Thanks for that baggss,
Perhaps I could have reworded my op without saying nervous. I'm not concerned that I'll get denied. I just have a little angst about having to write every two years my distant past. Like reliving it all over again. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I guess I was hoping reply's like yours were from someone in O.C.

I recently renewed my CCW for the first time. I completed a 4 hour classroom-type course. After completing the course, I drove down to the Sheriff's office, filled out their renewal form and handed them my certificate that I received from my instructor. Done.

No need to requalify on the shooting range, either.

It makes me shake my head when I read about some of the hoops others have had to jump through in order to renew their CCW.

Trust me, those living in other states shake their head a lot more when I tell them what I had to do to get my CCW in the first place!
