The prices change at every Walmart. Depending on your local city taxes ammo can be a little more or a little less. You just have to check each store to find the lowest price on ammo. If I stop on the way to some place and find a deal I just post it here. Chances are it's gone in a few hours.

Checked Roseville (Lead Hill), Citrus Heights (Auburn), and Sacramento (Antelope). The Antelope store had two boxes of Perfecta .45 at $16.9x, but neither other store did. Antelope also had 100rd boxes of American Eagle for $28.xx, but the 100rd boxes of Federal Champion and WWB were cheaper.

Edit 7/17: North Highlands (Watt) had 7 boxes of Perfecta .45; I bought 6 of them.

My local Walmart just started stocking some green boxes which are labeled "American Eagle" and are 5.56. Has anyone shot these? On the box it says XM855, are they really green tips? How is the quality? Price came out to about .46 cents a round.

They're made by Federal, good to go.

Considering most of the .223 i have bought local has been in the 40+ cent range, .06$ extra cents to move up to 5.56 and have them be greenies seemed worth it.

I am relatively new to AR, so not sure of what good prices are yet and really only have walmart and ammo depot (Rancho Cordova) prices to compare against. What would you consider a good price on xm855?

Green tip sucks. Hunt down some Wolf Gold 1000 rounds for $300-$315 or 30-32cpr.

That green box AE XM855 is your typical 62 grain steel core. I've bought about 10 boxes and always get a few over count.

If you can get it shipped outside of Sacramento, find it online at PSA much cheaper.
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...view/id/15084/

The ZQI is also steel core, cheaper, and shoots cleaner, IMO.

The Fair Oaks Walmart on Greenback and Hazel had a half dozen or so boxes of 100 count Winchester 40g 22LR at $8-$9 as of noon yesterday (9/14). They also had some 50 round boxes but I wasn't sure if they were double digit priced (>$10). Good for someone who is desperate, but I cast and load 9mm for $5/100 so I'll pass.

1 local WM, has for some reason stop shelving Perfecta 9mm/38.

If they do put some up (which is vary rarely/kind of like 22lr) it's so little that 1st one to see it buys all.

I saw plenty at Walmart in Orangevale on Greenback and Hazel yesterday. Truth be told I've only seen them out of it a couple of times in months and I'm in there pretty often. But if you come out to Orangevale for ammo you might as well go a little further down Greenback (3/4 mile maybe) and go to Wild Sports. You can get Blazer Aluminum 115gr 9mm for $8.99 per 50. Just print the coupon of the site before you go. I think that's a savings of $2 per box over the $10.97 Perfecta ammo. Not bad for plinking ammo.

Where on their site is the coupon? All I ever see is a QR code.
