Hi guys,
I'm currently running a factory Mossberg 930 SPX but am considering some upgrades that I was wondering if anybody had any comment or opinion on. 1. GG&G Enhanced Low Drag Magazine Follower http://www.midwayusa.com/product/920...ibility-insert OR Nordic Follower http://www.midwayusa.com/product/660...gauge-aluminum 2. Nordic +3 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/476...-3-round-matte My biggest questions are: 1. Does anybody have experience installing the extension's spring and, did you have to cut it for the +3 and to what length? 2. Opinions between the two followers? I'm leaning toward the GG&G just because I've read conflicting reviews about whether the nordic follower will limit me by 1 round due to its length, or whether that has been corrected by Nordic or whether that can be circumvented somehow? Thanks! |

"A day that will live in Infamy" No, it's not the attack on Pearl Harbor, it's just the monthly X3 match. Weather looks good, Stages look great, and I'm doing Brats on Saturday. O.K. enough with the triva, you will need: 15 to 20 Slug +- 15 to 20 00 nine pellet Buck +- 150 Pistol +- 75 Bird Shot +- 50 to 150 Rifle +- You will be shooting the double spinner with Rifle at 100 yards, the Rifle Urban Prone at clays at 50+ yards, Slugs at 35 to 65 yards unless you want me to put them back out at 130 yards Remember, No steel core, armor piercing, grenades, or incendiaries Bring plenty of fluids and snacks as it is a dry range. Every month I get calls from people asking me if it is O.K. to come out and watch? or how much does it cost to come out and watch? It doesn't cost a dime to come out and see how much fun you are missing out on, so by all means come on out! The stages are below in a pdf format and on the web site as well. x3multigun.com I hope to see you all out the range this weekend Father's Day. P.S. (It's O.K. to bring dad.) .

Looks like someone just came back from Ironman! Great looking stages Sammy, with tons of good shooting.
BTW, one of our regular 3gunners will be moving soon so this will likely be their last X3. Hope everyone comes out to bid him a fond farewell. |

I just finished the scores, they should be on the web site In a couple of hours.
The match was extremely difficult, I won't make it that hard next month, but I really did enjoy the difficulty. I would like to here what you the shooters thought of the difficulty? Next month you will see the double spinner at 65 yards with slugs off hand, get ready.

Quality match, Sammy, but a little too hard. I enjoyed it but heard some others feeling the frustration from the rifle spinner on Stage 4 and the penalty cluster on Stage 5.
For Stage 5, I'd recommend only doing max 2 no shoot clays. Also, I kind of miss that stage being the shredder stage where you got the run around and shred the stage, instead of precision shooting. I really don't want to shoot that spinner with slug. Recommend only 50 yards max for that. You know there are folks that still can't spin that thing with pistol, right? |

after 3 months off, 2 pieces of shrapnel in my hand 2 weeks ago at prado, and a long night drinking the night before, i shot like absolute ****.
as for the stages, i appreciate the rifle spinner. shooting the long range from the roof with the roof at a 45 degree angle to the targets was a challenge i failed at miserably. and stage 3 would have been better with steel, clay, steel, clay, steel poppers, instead of just steel, clay, steel poppers. that way we could shred the whole array and then have to get 2 clays out of mid air. overall i love your stages sammy. i shot superstition this year for the first time and it was a big let down after shooting your stages. im scared to move anywhere because we're so spoiled here that anywhere else local matches would be a let down. |

Phong and Bobby,
I really appreciate your comments. Phong the only way we get better is to push ourselves, I know that new shooters have a hard time with some of the stuff we do but that is not an excuse to get frustrated or quit, just the opposite I feel this makes the new shooters want to come back and do better I know it does for me. I personally do not want to short a match that I conquer every time I shoot it. Bobby come to the shot gun match in two weeks and I will have the clay flippers loaded with 2 clays instead of the one. I'm with you, I love nothing better than launching the clay and burning down 4 steel then getting the clay 3 feet of the ground. What a rush. And PS your scores weren't that bad I will however throttle back next month, especially in the heat Keep the comments coming

Being fairly new to the game its all difficult to me, but I still enjoy every part of it. Like I mentioned a few posts up, I like having to get down low and shoot through the small cutout on the ground. The pistol tunnel was great. I enjoy these types of "obstacles" like these.
I also miss shredding on the shredder stage, but the 30 round max was a fun idea. |

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the match. However to make a blanket statement like that dosen't do much in helping me set up matches that you might like better. If you have any ideas for stages that you would like to see please feel free to send them to me or you can come out on Saturday and spend the day helping us set up. Or you can just sit on the sofa and *****.

A tough day at X3 is far better than any day at work. Plus, if something is too hard, just game it. Shoot at it once and take the hit.

OK guys, I'm beginning to think about the stages for the 21st. I think you guys need a break, so I want to make the match a speed match. Bring back the shredder on stage 5 (phong) and I want to do a bird heavy stage Bobby, so guess what, you guys are going to help me design them.
Phong. Stage 5 shredder Bobby. Stage 1 shotgun birds Tim. Stage 6 long range rifle Ray. Stage 4 jungle run I'll do 2&3 unless someone else wants to jump in If you do not have or know how to use PowerPoint just send me something scratched on a napkin and I'll transfer it This is your chance people step up!

Carpasteis,
I will ask you the same question, do you have PowerPoint and know how to use it? If you do I can send you a templet and you can do the voodoo that you do. Send me your e-mail address

July 21st.....
I finished the stages a little early this month, and have attached them below. They should be on the website later tonight. x3multigun.com It will be warm this weekend, somewhere in the low 90's so bring plenty of fluids and water. Remember, no steel core or armor piercing ammo at the range. Please. I have two new targets in the match this month. a swinger that has 2 falling plates added to it and a double bird thrower. I am looking forward to seeing how they work out. See you all on Sunday. .
