Thank you. I really like it. I hope to post a video soon. I just got it and just about 200 rounds through it (FMJ and HP) without any problems.

The one in the pic seems to not have an LCI or the laser engraving.

This is what the LCI looks like on the P229 enhanced elite. I have not seen a P226 with the same LCI.

It is hideous IMO. Bad enough to detract me from buying one.

I don't think I've ever seen one on a P226 Navy or any P226 for that matter and has been on the roster uninterruptedly for awhile, just the P229 since it's a newer model Sig had to comply with CA requirements on newer guns submitted for DOJ approval for CA.

Haha I feel exactly the same way. I love the look of the ESE slide and beaver tail frame but the LCI was too much. I picked up a BTFO instead.

Get a new finish like I did , I had the same pistol like yours. That LCI had to go.

No point in buying a nice gun, then having to spend more money to "Fix" it. I took the extra money and went with an off-roster Stainless Elite instead:

To the 229 owners:

How do you find the half-serrations? Are they noticeably more difficult to get a grip on than the full serrations found on the other Sigs?

Never had an issue with the short serrations. I originally compared a BTFO and ESE but I didn't like the beaver tail frame and the LCI/Mag disconnect was a deal breaker. Didn't notice one or the other being easier to rack.

Have the exact same gun, but manufactured in 1987. I bought it used at the old B&B guns in Westminster sometime in 1995 or 1996. Gun shoots like a champ, and beside my 1994 Sig P229, they are the only Sig's I own.

I'll be getting this P229 military overrun model E29R-40-MIL-TG. The pistol has night sights, a standard trigger, E2 Grips, M1913 rail, beavertail, full height rear serrations, front strap cross checkering, a DLC coated frame and barrel. It's the only German frame Sig with a beaver tail. It's at my ffl waiting to be dros'd on the 8th of Feb. I already have my 9mm xchange slide/barrel kit for this also, but now to find a .357sig barrel. The one in the pic isn't mine but one off the internetz.
