Default Win 10 How to stop bottom down arrow side slide?

Win 10 has a feature that annoys me. When pressing the lower right down arrow. This crazy help bar slides across 1/3 of the right side of the screen...

Any clue how to cancel it?

Ok, try this:

Right click on the Start button and click on the Control Panel.
Click on the Security and Maintenance.
Select Change Security and Maintenance settings from the left pane. Uncheck mark on the Virus Protection and Spyware and unwanted software protection options.

Someone said this worked:

Go to Settings on Action Center then System, then Notifications and Actions, then Turn System Icons On or Off, and Action Center was at the bottom and I slid it from on to off.

We'll keep at it til we get 'er done.

Frankly, I disabled everything with gpedit.msc, and haven't seen this issue, but unless you graft gpedit into Win10 Home, from Win10 pro, you'll have to find another way, maybe Win10 Guru, Deedle will chime in here, I'm kinda new to Windows 10. Still evaluating it.

Your description is a bit vague. What help bar are you talking about?

Are you saying that it pops up when you use the down arrow key? If this is the case, you can go into the windows settings under notifications & actions and turning everything off.

Yeah no idea what you're talking about OP. Is this on the keyboard or someplace on a touchscreen or what?

EDIT: Is this part of the shoulder thing that flips up by any chance?

I know what he's talking about. It's a black field that pops out from the side, with a big orange arrow that tells you where to click for some function, when you first load windows 10. I believe it's a "tip", and it stops after a while.

The black "Swipe to switch between apps (orange) arrow"..... Just do it once. it then goes away. Just figgered it out on a fresh load of Win8.1.
