Default AR rear sight questions..

Hi ,got a few questions on this.

http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-a...t-7789732.html

Any idea of the distance from the top of a rail to the center of the aperture?
Asking because curious if it is the same height over bore as a standard A2 rear sight.
Also do both apertures have the same height from center of bore ... much like the Magpul BUIS .... or are they different as in a standard A2 rear?

Thanks for any help you may provide.

I have come to answer my own questions......

The distance from the top of the rail to the center of the aperture is 1.342 inches.
The distance on the MBUS is 1.42 inches and is to duplicate A2 irons.
What does this mean to me? Not a darn thing.
Maye it is a little lower to be more friendly to those with non F marked FSBs

The apertures are on the same sight plane and I thank you for that.

The only suggestion I would make is to add a little more metal to the top half of the large aperture ......... I can make use of it as is ..... but not everyone is a young kid with the eye sight of hawk.

At $30 for this flip up as compared to the MBUS at $55-$60 ....... I'd never buy a MBUS again.
