I ended up finding a great deal for a nib DBT fast attack carrier off fleagay for $75 shipped, size small. If I don't like, I highly doubt I'll lose any money. I ended up getting different plates, similiar weight, maybe a tad lighter, same protection level, smaller size 8x10 which is exactly what I wanted. Ordered some HSGI Tacos so I can run my AR or AK with it.

Some pretty awesome set ups we got here.
Mines a bare bones basic
HSGI AO Small Chest Rig
x4 HSGI Taco Mag Pouches (x4 PMAGs 10/30)
Had the Surefire helmet light attached when I was running 10/20 PMAGs.
HSGI Bleeder/Blowout Kit on belt with sidearm (currently no sidearm )
If I ever figure out how to upload picstures, I will snap a few

Ok Here goes: My current rig was made custom for my plates by Tidewater Tactical in VB, VA. Great rig and very comfortable.

Viking Tactics Brokos Belt
HSGI Riggers Belt

Left to Right:
101 Holsters Mag Carrier
Surefire G2 & Carrier
Gerber Suspension Multi-Tool
HSGI Bleeder (Shears, Tourniquet, Olaes Modular Bandage, Tape, Gloves)
Gerber LMF
101 Holsters...Holster

Plan on painting the black gear with earthy colors. Maybe add some suspenders. Love the setup so far. Might drop some of the cutlery if I start carrying more mags and/or a dump pouch.

Those are my "Tactical Toe Socks". Coupled with the flip-flops I can clear my house all sneaky like a ninja. Judo rolling through the door ways...

cell phone pics.

New Ares Amor Combat XII pack attaches to molle system or can be worn on its own. Ive been using this as my day pack for hiking and out doorsey stuff. Just big enough for my laptop to fit in and has large inner pockets for 3L water pouches. Im going to be getting a multi cam carrier so thats why i got the pack in multi instead of Coyote.

IFAC, need to get more red parac cord, those were scraps left over.
Tactical Tailor 20rd Double mag dont have enough 10/30 to fill it with, may not keep it not sure if i need the extra space. But, It is handy since most of my mags are 10/20.

Tactical Tailor E&E horizontal
Tactical tailor double 30rd
TAG Kangaroo Pouch in the inner pocket.
Tactical Tailor 6rd shotgun. May take it off and put it on a belt or something..seems kinda useless..
Condor Double mag pouch
K-Bar
Dump Pouch

You could try SKD. Mainly soft armor, but they'll be in stock.
http://www.skdtac.com/Tactical-Armor-Plates-s/290.htm

You could also try US Palm. Not sure if they sell just plates.
https://uspalm.com/products/armor.html

I'll post up some other links when I can remember them.

Nothing close to the rigs you guys got going on but here's my TAG Gladiator

Sporting the Imperial Flag

Rest if condor: adm pouch, pistol mags, dump pouch (very neat because it rolls up)
I think I'm going to relocate the dump pouch int he back when I get an actual riggers belt going.

gladiator is nice. I mean I've never actually ran it, but it is comfortable. I have to tighten all the buckles for it to fit snuggly if I am wearing just a shirt. And I am 5'10.5

Cool thread. Some really awesome gear out there. Here is mine:

It's a Condor that I picked up from Cheaper Than Dirt. All the accessories on it are from CTD as well. I train at The Academy of St. Crispian with Stan out at Prado a couple times a month. To get a really good workout and maximize my training, I picked up a couple of steel plates wrapped around by a two layers of soft armor. I would probably opt for something lighter if I had to wear this for a living. But for 4 to 8 hours a weekend here and there, it serves the purpose.

Here is what it looks like on:

This reminds me, I really need to buy a plate carrier... I keep putting it off...

I have a chest rig, but it's not very comfortable in its weight distribution. I'm also working on a battle/war belt type setup, but I'm not a fan of padded molle belts so I'm trying a web belt or duty belt 1st.

i have MOLLE padded war belt. i have used it a couple of times not bad. it does take some getting used to. more comfortable than an old school web belt though.

I will probably buy one in the near future. I have my eye on HSGI, ATS or BDS-Tactical. Not sure which I'll go with... But I'm buying a 762-Tactical duty belt 1st anyway, so that will be the inner belt if nothing else.

I need to work on picking up a plate carrier. I like the Condor MOPC because of its price... But I have a my eye on a few others of higher quality but at double the price.

First spear has a 308 mag carrier, but its small and light. Just attach a raven concealment fast mag for 308 to your molle vest.

I have a few non-helium 10 speeds, and the retention is much better on the newer stuff.....So much so that it was a pain in the *** inserting magazines the first couple of times.

Additions:

1. BFG tourniquet NOW! strap- A long-term solution to rubber bands. It was an easy $8 addition when ordering $100+ worth of stuff from SKDtac.

2. BFG 10 speed double pistol mag pouch- Decided I wanted to carry 2 additional pistol mags on my PC, if for whatever reason i'm not carrying on my belt.

3. BFG 10 speed triple AR mag pouch (helium whisper)- my non-helium ten speed was losing some of it's retention (still good), and I've read that this new stuff is the ****. Well guess what, it is. This is now replacing my current on the front flap.

4. Mayflower Kangaroo pouch (again)- I added the Mayflower kangaroo again, because with the BFG on the front flap, it gives a VERY low profile setup. I have the ability to run 6 mags if required, but with 3 in the kangaroo I can have access to removing the cummerbund without interference- the biggest advantage of adding the kangaroo, IMO.

my PC setup supplements my belt carry, which consists of:

dual kydex pistol mag carrier
single kydex rifle mag carrier

Modifications:

1. Moved my ifak to my strong side, next to my CAT. I've ran it this way in 2 classes now and it does not interfere with my pistol draw. It just feels more comfortable on this side.

2. Moved my old BFG 10 speed (non-helium whisper) to the rear of the PC.

I like the Banshee. ITS Tactical had a review awhile back. I've seen other reviews around online as well. They all seem positive.

When I have the cash to spare, I might pick one up... LA Police Gear has 'em for a decent price. http://www.lapolicegear.com/shellbac...tecarrier.html

I also like their "combat aggressor" model but I haven't looked at it enough to know the difference(s)... http://www.lapolicegear.com/shellbac...r-carrier.html

Man I just stumbled into this thread and you guys have some really cool sh*t!

Was planning on taking a carbine course so I picked up an Eagle/SKD chest rig. Just wondering, do most of you keep pistols on the belt or chest rig? I know it's whatever works best for the individual, but I'm just trying to get some ideas.

Personally, I keep it on my rig. Try both with different holsters to see what you like.
