Another suggestion for future iterations: don't change the multi-disciplinary nature of the match! Keep offering stages from GSSF, IDPA and USPSA to give everyone a taste -- albeit, a light-beer taste -- of three of the most popular handgun shooting sports.

Consider including Glock The Plates as the GSSF stage next year. Plate racks can be an exercise in humility for those who don't shoot them much -- the plates are so big and so close nobody could miss them!

I did the Glock-M for a reason...M is for MOODY so you wont see Glock the Plates next year. As for Open and Production Divisions...I appreciate the suggestion but this is a fun match and not about who's the fastest or the best shot...We're coming together to have fun, remember/honor Brad and raise MONEY for his 2 beautiful daughters...Getting to shoot your gun is just a bonus!

This match will be held yearly until the girls are out of college...And it will remain a fun shoot with little rules and only 2 divisions, Civilian and LE. Shoot whatever you want to, drop a TON of cash into the raffle, sit back and enjoy the ride!

We were still working on the scores when the last person posted asking for them.

Except for making a couple of bathroom runs and buying a burrito, I was at the desk entering scores (secondary computer, double entry just in case the main computer went down or the power went out).. We finally were done with scores at 5:15p. I just got home..

Check them out on richmondhotshots.com, likely they will be up tomorrow some time. Since I've been sitting on a hardwood chair all day, I'm going to go sit on something soft..

My skills with a camera are not the best, but here's a few shots from today's match:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/rivviep...7610487954997/

First shots by Susan and one of each stage as a little taste. There was a fella there with a really nice camera, I'm sure better pictures will be along soon...

Make sure you thank Bill too.. He was scoring on the main computer and running around doing other things too as were all the RO's who volunteered and the MD and his staff.

I was happy to help!

Default Kudos to Everyone

This was my first time drawing and reloading, so I wanted to let all of you know how much I appreciate your patience and great sense of humor. For the amount of shooters you processed, I'm impressed by the safety and smooth way all of you ran each course.

My husband is retired RPD, so I had no worries about him understanding what was going on!

It was great fun and thanks again for giving us a chance to help Susan and her daughters out.

Glad to hear you guys had a good time! A big thank you to everyone that helped out...I couldn't have pulled it off without you!

That guy with the BIG camera was Don Gosney of Fine Flicks...He donated his time to professionally photograph the match. I'll be sending out details on how to buy the DVD soon...He took over 1000 pictures so it should be good!

Happy to see the match was a big success, what a fantastic thing that a couple hundred shooters came together to raise 15K for a fallen officer's family.

I'm sorry I missed the match but a least I entered and paid the entry so I got to help out.

A big round of applause to the match staff/volunteers who ran over 200 shooters through the stages in one day, what a feat! If you've ever shot a match you know it can take the better part of a day to get just 50-60 shooters through.

No...That was just the raffle! We're still collecting money but it looks like the total will end up around $32,500.

It was on KTVU 2 at 10pm last night. It was a great event; vendor tables got some good stuff. Especially the Sig 556 with the Leupold Prismatic.

I think every afternoon RO stepped up and came in the morning as well, we had 3 (or even 4) ROs running each stage and keeping the flow moving - the shooters themselves paid attention to those going before them so they knew what to do when coming up to the line. We even finished earlier than expected, which allowed the post-match activities to kick off that much sooner and kept everyone in a good mood.

I second that, Chris! I finally got to meet Bill since I haven't been to Bullseye in 10 years and only knew Mark Baradat, the former owner. Bill is such a nice man, and I told him I'd buy a family membership in 2009.

I've received a lot of email asking about the next Moody Match. I've been crazy busy the last few months and haven't had a chance to work on it. That will all change in the coming weeks and I hope to announce the date/time/location soon.
