Default Sheriff Gore Aims to Issue More Concealed Gun Permits in San Diego County

Do you get a letter in the mail regarding your approval or denial?

You are notified in writing of your approval...and I assume it's the same if you are denied but I don't have experience with that since I was approved. Your third interview you will pay your final fee and get your picture taken. There is no third interview if you are rejected.

However, the clerks are really good about communicating with you throughout the process...at least I thought they were. And you can always call them if you have a question. They were prompt with returning phone calls (usually same day unless I called toward the end of the business day). Everyone was very nice and professional too. Which really should be expected by they also have a pretty big backlog which can sometimes make people stressed. Remember though that it's not the clerks who are the decision makers in this thing. They're just the facilitators.

Good luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor!

They send a PDF to your email though not sure if that will change soon since they are implementing a new application processing software.

Really? I paid my fees and had my photo taken at my 2nd interview. I am still waiting on approval.

I'm I crazy or is that a larger increase than usual?

It must be a miracle!

212 in one month and a month including the end of Dec, New Years and MLK holidays!

If this keeps up, my guess is the advice they got from OC on streamlining their process is kicking in.
