That's a lot of mags you got there. I assume you already have the wonderful invention known as the Ultimate Clip Loader. Also, have you done the slingshot mod?

Ruger wouldn't sell you the frame due to it being considered the gun on a pistol, not the slide.

What to do next I don't know, but I don't like the original sights on mine as you can't see them at an indoor range. The sights you have look like they are after market. What are they and are they any good?

Except with the 22/45, mkIII, mkII, etc. the frame isn't the "gun". Ruger is well aware of this.

I suspect the real reason that ruger doesn't do it, is because if they did they'd never keep them in stock and it would actually cut into their firearm sales(because people would just end up buying aftermarket uppers, since that's the "gun" part on these pistols).

edit: That's why you can buy this without an FFL involved: https://www.volquartsen.com/products...nd-22-45-mkiii

Of course it only costs $400 with internals, $250 stripped, isn't made in the 22/45 grip angle(and requires you to buy a mk series mainspring housing if you're swapping out the frame on a 22/45). It's also the only one on the market(currently at least, there might have been some others in the past but I'm not aware of any).

If you've removed the mag disconnect BS, you can use MKII and MKIII mags. Midway is out of the MKIII but have MKII in stock

Not fair posting that out of state since its killing me I can't replace panels.
Was the tac sol sight a direct replacement or did it require fitting?

Even before I removed the mag disconnect on my Mk III, the Mk II mags worked perfectly in my Mk III 22/45.

Good to know. I've always been told the mag disco needs to be removed. Don't matter to me though, as I've already installed a Sam Lam bushing.

Got myself the volquartsen trigger kit, will be great once I get it installed. already put on a set of rubber hogue grips, muzzle comp and aimpoint h1 sight

All I have to do is get the pistol apart first. This is proving..challenging .......Can't get the back spring out.

Are all mk IIIs this difficult to take apart?

Pry the lever up with a screwdriver, yank the mainspring housing out, pull it down and out of the bolt.

Yes, they're all like that until you've done it a million times(and to be fair, it is better to have things fit tightly, than flop around over time).
