Default ?Woody? the AR

Hello fellow freedom loving people,

I?m new to the forum, but wanted to share my recent build.

I wanted a range gun that is different than everyone else?s. So I build a wooden furniture AR as a throwback to the A2.

It?s an Aero lower- all Nickle parts on back frame. PSA premium upper with stainless barrel. I found a stainless birdcage as well. Nickle BCG, Nickle Charging handle, dust cover, safety, trigger and pins, bolt catch and mag release.

The wood was hand made by Jene Feilds in Kansas.

Lastly its finished off with a CompMAG fixed mag

I haven?t seen another like it. Wanted to share

Looks very nice.

I made a wood pistol grip for my AR, nowhere near as nice as yours.

Out of curiosity, how long is your pistol grip bolt? Mine projects like an inch down into the grip, honestly kinda makes me nervous what could happen if I drop the gun and it lands just right. I could see the leverage causing the bolt to break out the side of the grip mounting lug on the lower.

Thanks for posting the photos Mike.

The pistol grip screw is pretty long. I never thought about but it is quite a bit longer than The standard screw so I guess it could be possible.

Thanks everyone for the complements. It?s nice to have a place to share.

I'm sure it's pretty pricey for the buttstock, grip, and handguard, but damn that is a beautiful rifle!
