These things looks awsome with magpul furniture.

I just bought the new Remington 870 tactical magpul edition. Its an awsome gun but it looks different. The shotgun came with a 6 round tube and it no longer uses a clamp, the barrel hooks on to the tube like the mossbergs.

Is this an improvement or a step back?

If so, by how much?

The pull can be modified. At the end of the stock there are plates that you can remove to your liking.

Correct...I left the spacers out so my wife can use the 870 for HD in case she had to. She loves it, not sure if its the same LOP as a youth model, but its shorter than the original stock from remington. Oh and I don't get where people think its ugly, I think its beautiful and feeeeeeeeels good...

Guy's i would like to ask something relating to your topic which is that We've found furniture that we like but aren't moving into our new house for about 6-8 months as it is being built. We don't have any room to put new furniture but don't want it to be gone/discontinued by the time we need to buy it......

Ummm pretty sure that wasnt a question, more like a statement. If your trying to sell it, you should post it on the non-firearm sale section...

Thats a nice looking set-up.

I've been looking at getting the Magpul 870 upgrades for my Remington 870. I was wondering how easy the install is? How much have the ergonomics changed since swaping out the furnature in the shotgun?

install for both the stock and forend are extremely simple. there are youtube videos for both if you need them...

ergonomics, for me at least, are greatly improved. i can get behind the gun much easier and everything tucks in nice and tight.

Sweet!

Thanks for the info. I was wanting to be able to improve the length of pull on the gun and the Magpul stock can be adjusted to fit a bigger guy like me.

Has anyone used the forend verticle grip with good results. I remember when some outfits carried similar verticle forend grips but heard many times that the grip can cause unessessary binding while racking a round and lead to excessive wear.
