How was the SHTF class? Any photos? I would've attended but had to work and not enough time to trade shifts

Went very well, mind you that I have done at least four seminars of my own plus two at the Prepare to Endure Preparedness Show in Bakersfield. I don't have pictures to share but it was over eight hours of useful information.

Out of 100 slides I thought I would make a teaser that covers one of the most important ones that would affect the majority of us; establishing a defense or as others would call "bugging in."

There is obviously a bunch of things going on here in this slide and in the interest of those who attended I won't go over too much here but its a great baseline of making your home into your castle should the need ever arise. Next one is currently scheduled for March.

Hi Stan,

Would you have any classes scheduled for after March?

Took Stan's March 5th Pistol 202 class. The shooting drills revolved mainly around close quarter shooting. There were some drills to test if you can walk & chew gum at the same time (shooting on the move). Another great class from Stan. I didn't stick around to take Stan's low light class. I'll take the low light class at another time.

Ed it was good training together! 202 was fun, Low light class was great too! Most of the low light class was on the pistol range. We did have time for rifle and shotgun at the end though. It was cool to test the limits of my gear/guns. Due to the rain and heavy overcast sky it was pitch black, no moon or stars to help us out.

My aimpoint fogged up from rain drops on the lenses and I had to switch to BUIS. I was using TROY sights and didn't like engaging them one handed in the dark-It was very slow. I would have preferred a sight like the MBUS that flips open with a simple depression. I also had to clear a double feed, all in the darkest of nights, wasn't hard though training just kind of kicked automatically. Good times!

Anyway great first class with Stan and crew-- highly recommended them for anyone on the fence

It was good training with you John. Sounded like the low light class was a challenge that night. I'm glad that I skipped that class. These classes are all about building muscle memory. Range time is always fun times.

That SHTF class sounds fun. Any plans on doing it again soon? How about SULE?
