Default Jennings v BATFE Dissmissed

This is ridiculous. This case should have been a slam dunk but look what the judge wrote.

Quote:
“The Court is of the opinion that the ban does not run afoul of the Second Amendment to the Constitution,” the ruling states. “The right to bear arms is enjoyed only by those not disqualified from the exercise of the Second Amendment rights.
“It is within the purview of Congress, not the courts, to weigh the relative policy considerations and to make decisions as to the age of the customer to whom those licensed by the federal government may sell handguns and handgun ammunition.”
So basically if the government says you have to be 110 years old to buy a handgun then it's okay because that's not a violation... wtf

While a win would certainly be nice this case wasn't stopping at District no matter who won. We will win. We are right. We will never stop fighting.

The second ammendment in the Bill of Privileges says "Shall not be infringed except for reasonable restrictions."

It was not dismissed. The motion for summary judgement in favor of the government was granted. That's just like Parker/Heller and McDonald in District court, so no surprises there.

Oh right. When I first read this it was on some Brady related page I think and i believe they said dismissed. But I looked and couldn't find anywhere where it said the plaintiffs lacked standing. Also for the judge to say such stuff in dismissing a case would have been weird. This Judge is way off base. I don't even know how you could rationalize something like that.

Edit: Weird NRA said "Dismissed" as well. Here is a nice little video from the NRA
