Congrats.
They're pretty accurate and fun rifles to shoot without breaking the bank.
It allows you to change the bolt speed for high velocity ammo or standard velocity. Ive shot Remington Thunderbolts through mine and DONT recommend that ammo at all. Like 510Kal says, CCI Minimags get eaten up like champs. They cost a little more, but well worth it.

I've shot CCI Mini mags, CCI bulk and Federal bulk with no issues after 1000 rounds. I did a lot of reading before I bought mine and everything seems good to go except for subsonic ammo.

agreed, remington thunderbolt is not recommended. worst ammo i have ever used in my 22's

Blazer works good but my favorite is American eagle with copper bullet.
