Custom Carry I bought as a graduation/birthday gift to myself in June of this year from Crazy John's.

Had issues with the extractor and ejection and jams. Les Baer inept customer service completely turned me off and disappointed me. I ended up sending it to Alchemy Custom Weaponry to have Rob fit a new extractor, firing pin stop, fix a click in the trigger and had him add an Ed Brown Maxi-well. Just got it back last week and hopefully I will have some time to take it out this week.

Crappy pic from my iPad. Rubbing your finger on the taper, you can't feel the line between the frame and the magwell.

Here is my I.P.S.C. Limited Class Model 1911. I bought two of these the first year Les Baer Custom was in business. Back then; Les called it his “Combat” model. I kept this one and my father keeps its mate in his nightstand. This is my favorite of four Les Baer Customs.

Sounds like we placed our orders with CJ pretty close to each other.

Thank you, but believe it or not...i'm already over this gun after only owning it for 5 months.

Not sure if I am 100% on keeping it.

Leave for basic at the end of January so I might be getting rid of it before. I do appreciate a good quality 1911, but the honeymoon phase is over with it.

Before anybody gets any ideas thinking mommy and daddy got this pistol for me. I had saved my money for years waiting to graduate from college, saving for my wedding that is occurring in a week and a half, and purchased a house before I forked out my hard earned money to buy this pistol.

You accomplished a lot, before deciding to start over from the bottom in basic training.

Good luck with wherever you and your new wife end up.

Nothing comes close to my Les Baer in terms of accuracy. It's simple and
perfect. It's definitely a Zen piece.

I have Baer SRP with 1.5.
Best 1911 I own or have shot, what a great gun.
The best before the Baer was a Kimber Royal.
The Baer just blows everything else in my arsenal away.
I will try to get pic up soon, rearranging my man cave & can't find my camera.
