Default Our Second Amendment rights are in great peril! It's now, or never!

Ever since the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut, anti-gun politicians have wasted no time in trying to capitalize on such a horrible event. At the national level, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and others are pushing an anti-gun agenda so radical and so intrusive on our Second Amendment rights; it would turn America as we now know it upside down! Make no mistake, they are trying to sell their agenda as necessary to protect America's schools, but we know the truth. We know what their true intentions are and the fact that they are trying to capitalize on the pain of a devastated community is as obscene as it is predictable.

In California, the situation is just as dire if not worse. Like the state of Connecticut, California already has some of the nation's most stringent gun control laws. But that's not good enough for some in Sacramento. Instead of enforcing the laws we already have and working to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and those adjudicated to be mentally handicapped, some politicians at the capital have decided more laws to further restrict the constitutional rights of California's law-abiding gun owners is the answer. With Democrats holding a super majority in both houses of the legislature, some members of the party have decided to go for broke and introduce a host of new gun control laws; everything from laws restricting the ownership and use of modern sporting rifles to severely restricting the purchase and sale of ammunition.

What can you do to fight back? Get involved!

As a responsible California gun owner, your voice needs to be heard! You need to keep yourself informed and take a stand! Here's what you can do:
  • Recruit every gun owner, Hunter, competitive shooter or club member to join CRPA! You are paying for a full-time lobbyist to fight on your behalf in the halls of Sacramento. Numbers matter. We all have to step up to get the job done!
  • If you're not an NRA member, join now! At the national level and in the halls of Washington, there is no better pro-Second Amendment organization to fight for our rights! Get all of your friends, hunting buddies and club members to join too!
  • Know who your representatives are at the local, state and federal levels. We will make sure you have the tools necessary to let them know how you feel about restrictions on your Second Amendment rights. You may be only one voice, but you are one of thousands!
  • Keep yourself informed about what the facts are. Sign up for mailing lists and alerts from NRA and CRPA. We will make sure that you have the most current and up-to-date information as anti-gun legislation moves forward.
  • Don't get discouraged. We are all in this together and we will ultimately prevail! All of us are patriotic, freedom loving Americans and we represent the best of what this nation stands for! Stand proud, stand firm, never give in!
